Question about Kitchen Ranges
SOURCE: oven wont light
Rick0192, Most likely, the bake igniter is shorted out and it has to be replaced. The part number for the igniter is 5303935066 .You can buy it for $60.00 to $80.00. If you are handy and have the right tools (Philips #1 and straight 1/4" screwdrivers, 1/4" and 5/16" nut drivers or socket wrenches, wire cutter and wire stripper) you probably can do it yourself. I would recommend to call a local appliance tech. just because of the safety issue. If you are going to do it yourself, let me know and I can help you with step by step instructions. Gendos

i had the same problem ( ignitor glows but no gas) on sears model
79071012300. i replaced the ignitor (glow bar) and the oven lit within 10-15 seconds! it was easy to replace and it took longer to figure out how to get the broiler drawer out of my way than it took to replace the ignitor.

The igiter is bad and needs replaced . The glow bar has a crack and is not getting hot enough to open the oven valve allowing it to ignite.
