TomTom XL V2 EasyPort Mount

Just purchased a TomTom XL V2 and the EasyPort Mount is so tight that I can hardly move the TomTom. When moving the TomTom upwards the force causes the mount to separate from the TomTom, and re-attatching it without the aid of a screwdriver seems impossible. I am unable to move the TomTom sideways.

Please help.

Regards

Come over to ebay and search for dixietree seller and purchase a replacement mount for just £10.00. All the mounts are fine and dont have this problem. Dixietree.

You would use your windshield mount and suction it to the plastic horse shoe mount as a dash mount, and there is tons of other mounting options that you may wish to look at.
You can find many different TomTom mouting solutions such as vent mount, viser mount, cup holder mount, vehicle specific mount, windshield mount along with dash mount options at www.autonavdirect.com or www.autonav2000.com.
Good Luck

Lost gps and then found 6 months later and cant remember password

To reset your ONE XL, use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button. The reset button is next to the memory card slot, on the bottom of your ONE XL. Then turn your ONE XL on it will be back to it's factory settings.

Broke screen while trying to fix to windscreen

Are you talking about the easyport mount on the XL 330S model? If so it applies fairly easily in a secure snap. When I tested out the new mount, it was fairly easy to snap on without any added pressure. TomTom has great customer service and I'm sure they'll help out to the best of their ability and if it was in fact defective, you're bound to get a replacement. TomTom doesn't want any unhappy consumers. It's a shame it broke, because it is actually a great device.

Unable to attach my new tomtom 930 go to the windshield mount, how do you unscrew the mount site at the back to fit into the nmount?

I have owned an off brand GPS unit for about 3 years and wanted to upgrade to a TomTom GPS unit. I have recently purchased a TomTom ONE XL. The TomTom will not stay mounted to my windshield. I have cleaned the suction cup and the windshield and nothing has helped. After the unit has been mounting for about 30~45 minutes it will fall off the windshield. I am afraid if this continues my TomTom GPS unit will be damaged. I have never had this problem before and as I mentioned earlier, I have owned a GPS unit for about 3 years. I noticed that the TomTom mount is very cheap built. Can you send me a better mount for my TomTom One XL? I am very disappointed in the unit so far and I only owned it for about 2 weeks.
