This device seems to have many errors, they have a warranty of 90 days, take it back or try deleting wav files, it seems unable to play high frequency ones
Plug mp3 player in to usb. Does your computer recognize mp3 player? If yes, than go to "start menu" than "my/computer", than you will see drive folder with mp3 player. Leave this window up.
Now find your music folder with songs. Click song file, drag file to mp3 player drive folder and drop it in there. It will be added on your mp3 player.
Another way mabey easier, is to open media player, click sync device, Now media player can read mp3 player. In media player, find your songs in library or the folder that has them. click on "songs" or song file and drag it to the right side of media player and add it to the list of songs that will be added to mp3 player. Once all the songs are in the list on the right side, you can click the button at the bottom and they will be added to mp3 player.
IF YOUR COMPUTER DOESN'T RECOGNIZE YOUR MP3 PLAYER, YOU WILL NEED TO SEARCH AND FIND THE DRIVER FOR IT AND INSTALL IT.
If this is a USB MP3 player and you have unwanted songs on it, you might try plugging it into your computer and formatting it like a portable hard drive. This should reset everything back to a factory default and then the computer and the MP3 player should get along better. Good Luck
You need to be a little more specific. Your computer says it can't read the MP3 player? Do you mean Windows Media player says that or what? What is the actual error you get, word for word?
I just had the same issue. Press the reset button. After pressing the reset button, plug it into your USB port on your PC. You should see it come back to life and shouldn't have to re-intall the firmware.
hmm did u try holding the button down for 10 secs when it started? now maby u could help me i bought mine and now my memory is full and i wanna delete either a few songs or the whole all i dont really care but i had downloaded a bunch of nirvana songs and now i cant click on them 2 listen so if u have a answer plz email me at [email protected] thnx
"Hard-disk Problem"... I'd just like to confirm once more that smacking the player on its right hand side while turning it on works.I had to smack it fairly hard though so don't be afraid!! I didn't try smacking it till I checked out the threads above so thanks everyone I'm a happy man again!! :) good luck
please mark the post with a fixya
It might be cause by a corrupt firmware. You need to have a utility that restore the mp3 player to its original setting. i had exactly the same problem with my ipod shuffle 1st generation 2 years ago. Good thing Apple has that utility for me to download and until no it is still working. Try to visit and upgrade the firmware using this link for you mp3 player http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=192
I reccomened re-formatting your drive to fat32 (for windows users) and giving it a second try.
I had the saem trouble a while back with my iPod Video 60gb and noticed that it was storing huge amounts of data that wasnt meant to be there. After the reformat it all worked again.
You also sure its not a full drive? because my Q-Be used to say "file error" on a full drive (vista bug)
