Do you happen to have Installation disc for this device?!

A monitor will rarely require a installation disc. I think perhaps you mean "Graphics driver".

In this case, you need only download the drivers from the HP website by entering your computers serial number /model number in the support section.

Replacing a Desktop's Graphics Card

In order to replace your Graphics card, you will need:

A screwdriver that fits the bolts of the casing of your computer
A new Graphics Card that is compartible to your Motherboard
And computer knowledge.

Start by removing drivers of your old Graphics card, by starting up the Device Manager from the Control Panel. Expand "Display Adapters", and double click on your Graphics card. On the Driver tab of the window that opens, click Uninstal, and follow the installshield wizard (could be automatic or might be another wizard).

After your Drivers are removed, shut down your computer, and remove the cable from your PSU. Make sure that your computer is not connected to anything that provides power to it.

-You might want to use insulating gloves for this task-

Start by removing one of the sides of the casing by unscrewing the bolts. It should be fairly easy to understand how to remove it after the bolts are removed.

When looking at your motherboard, your graphics card should be placed near the back of your computer. If you are unsure which card(if there are many) is the old Graphics Card, see where the Monitor's cable goes in.
Carefully unscrew any bolts that are used to lock your graphics card on the computer casing.

After that is done, remove all cables attached to your graphics card from inside the computer, and then carefully pull the Graphics Card out, making sure that your card is safe. After that is done, place your new Graphics card in the slot of your old one, and connect any wires connected to it(if needed).

Then do all the things you did to your computer backwards.

After your graphics card is ready and installed, start up your computer and insert it's manufacturer's disc. If you do not have a disc, look up on the internet.

Install the drivers, and it's ready for use.

How to install the video drive

I'm sure you mean how to install a video driver. If you want to do this manually, you need to know what kind of graphics card, the computer has. Then, search and download the specific graphics card driver from the Internet. Or if you have the graphics driver disc, you can install the driver from there.

Another easier method is to download and install this free driver scanning tool from here: http://xpdrivers.com/index.cfm or directly from this link: http://xpdrivers.com/download/download.cfm

After you install it, answer yes when it asks to run. It would scan your drivers and tell you which drivers need to be updated, and will let you update them from the Internet. You need not even know what graphics or video driver you have. It's simple. Try it out.

Hope that helps,
Regards,
Raspal

I have a hp presario SR5440AN and am trying to find out if i can use a pci express graphic card in it

Yes you can, if your computer has an AGP slot (advance graphic port) then it would be better to use a AGP graphics card instead on a PCI graphics card.
I can't remember if the Presario has an onboard graphics controller on the motherboard, if it has and you install a AGP or PCI graphics card, you may need to disable the onboard graphics controller in the BIOS.

Graphics will not change

You need to re-install your graphics driver. I looked on acers website for it, but they have a terrible driver download page. The new hardware is the graphics card that it is detecting. If you have your original installation disc with the drivers on it, then just reinstall the graphics driver and that should fix your problem. Otherwise maybe you will have better luck finding your driver on acers website. Let me know if this does not fix the problem, or if you can not find the driver, and I will help you find it.
