Question about Panasonic DMR-EX75EB-S DVD Recorder/HDD Recorder

Panasonic dvd recorder dmr-ex75

When viewing t v thru the dvd channel picture is in black and white. Records in black and white.
When viewing tv thry the t v channel picture is in colour.

    when playing a DVD the channel appears to be off tune with no colour

    Due to fiddling with buttons, this has lost it's colour & only shows in black & white. Have tried auto setup. Resorted to factory settings. Tried switching between AV1 & AV2.

Change the AV settings on the DVD or TV to be the same format. Feeding AV into an AV-S gives B&W

DVD recorder has stopped picking up a signal from the tv.


Double check connections first and try using the factory settings reset, before replacing the card.

Record a digital channel while watching and analog channel


Take a red, white, and yellow AV cable and plug it from the AV out of the cable box to the red, white, and yellow In of the dvd recorder (change cable box to the channel you want to record). Then change your TV to the channel you want to view.

Recording and viewing different channels


The EX75 has only one tuner circuit, so you can't watch a different channel from the one you're recording. To do this you will either need a set-top box for Freeview or a Freeview compatible TV.

Nothing records when I do a scheduled recording


Doesn't record properly, ie: looks like one channel is down when recorded, pre-recorded tapes are ok
Check Q008 for dry joints

Remote interacting with TV


According to my manual the codes for Samsung TVs are 31, 32 or 43.

Press and hold the TV on and off switch button.
Enter the two-digit code for your television set (while holding the TV power on the remote)
