All original car radios have their own unique security codes.

Assuming your radio is the original for this vehicle you simply take your vehicle ownership and registration papers to a Ford workshop they can get the code from the Ford computer network on the spot.

If the code does not work then it means that this radio is not the original for your car as it would have been replaced with them radio model.

If this Kenwood is an after vehicle purchase, you may need to contact Kenwood Car Audio.
Or get Kenwood's contact details through your local car audio dealer.

Just put new battery in my 2001 Saturn and now I can't get my stereo to play. Please help

If it is a factory stereo, you have to call a Saturn dealer and they will give you a code to unlock.I don't know if the automatically tell you how to do it so you may have to ask.Write it down too because it will happen every time the battery gets disconnected and sometimes it needs to be even though they aren't working on your battery.Good luck! My 2004 cavalier stereo is locked.i put a

That's the anti theft lock... It's not a system that comes with every car radio, but i've saw a few of those on cavaliers and sunfires, and a few civics, and i think a couple others have some too, but i've only personnally seen and worked with the ones i mentioned. In any case, unfortunetly even if i know how they work, there is no easy way to get them unlocked and working again. You need the special code for that specific radio, and to get it you don't have the choice to go to you GM dealer and ask them to do it. You need their special machines to get the codes and get the radio unlocked, there is no other way other than changing it for an aftermarket radio again like before. So if you really want to get the OEM radio going again, go with the car to your GM dealer to prove to them it's not stolen and they will get the codes from the GM support center with their dealer code and will unlock your radio, but of course they will charge for it, dealers never give any gifts to anyone.:p So ask them how much they charge for the service, cause in some cases, buying an aftermarket radio will cost less.

Code of radio

there is no such thing for your van. the stereos in your van are coded through a data calibration system. If stereo is switched with a different one, most poeple will change the stereo due to the display being out. when this happens, you will need a GM tech II scanner in order to recalibrate the unit into your vehicle. some dealers will charge anything from free to 1/2 hour to calibrate the stereo. to save time you should install the radio into the van, because the calibration is done through thr OBDII connector under dash.

Anti-lock of radio in Pontiac Montana van

you need to remove the radio and get the id number off of the radio and call the dealer with that code and they will give you the proper one or if you know where it was originally purchased from the first owner call them and they will have it for you.
also look inside the glove box area some people write them in ther or the manul on the inside cover
