Had an oil change a month ago, oil changed required message still shows up. 2004 Lincoln Aviator

TAKE IT TO A DEARERSHIP AND HAVE THEM SHOW YOU THE STEPS. NORMALLY THIER IS NO CHARGE BUT ASK FIRST.

You have to drop the oil pan on the transmission and take your old filter off and put your new one on and seal the pan and back on

After an oil change you have to reset the sensor. Your mechanic should have known this. You turn the key on and push button for three seconds to reset it. This should be in the fuse box under the hood goodluck. I hope this helps

Press the Setup Menu: Select the Oil Change function: Press the reset control to reset oil change..

1.press the setup control to enter system check then press setup control to display "oil life =***% hold reset = new.

2.press and hold the reset control for 2 seconds and release. "oil life is set to 100%" is displayed,

3.If lower oil life is desired, press and release the reset control to reduce the value.

it is in the owners manual, you can read that for yourself instead of asking someone else to do it for you princess.

Make sure the oil did not drain out. Sometimes the oil filter does not seal perfectly and oil leaks out. Also check and see if your oil pump is still functioning properly. Oil pressure can also drop if the seal in the engine is worn. If this happens, oil will enter the engine and burn off. Hope this helps in some way

THE PROBLEM SOUNDS LIKE THE COIL PACKS, THERE IS ONE FOR EVERY CYLINDER, LINCOLN WILL REPLACE THEM FREE I THINK UP TO 150,000 MILES. THEY WILL ONLY REPLACE FAULTY COIL(S).

when you see the oil change required,press reset by th gear lever(that three bottons that says system info,reset etc. just press the reset one.
