when you try to enter you pin number into a phone incorrectly(3 times) it locks out the PUK code
to get it back you have to contact your service provider with proof that you own the account and they will give you the PUK code to put into the phone first
having done that you will then need to put in you pin number
once your phone says that you have to enter PUK code.you can find that on original packaging or call contact dealer that you got phone from.. PUK code comes up because incorrect pin number has put in 3 times. default pin number on many nokia's is 12345
Puk/PIN code is a secutity code that protects your SIM card, it is unique eight digit code specific to your SIM card. This code is required when the PIN number to unlock your mobile phone is entered incorrectly 3 times. You are then given 10 attempts to enter your PUK code. If an incorrect PUK code is entered after the 10th attempt, you will block your SIM card permanently and will require a new SIM card from your mobile phone provider. PUK codes can be obtained through the following ways - The PUK code is in your SIM card documentation Starter Pack.PUK stands for Personal Unblocking Key.
You can contact to your mobile phone provider, along with documentation or you total identification, and soon after they could give the PUK code.
You can locate your PUK usually it is included in your sim card kit when you purchase it. if you lost it already, this is the last thing we can do. Contact your operator customer care or visit them and ask for your PUK code and they are very glad to help you. they will ask you several questions pertaining to your account to verify if you are the real owner. You can also get it on-line on most operator if they have this service at their website.
Once you receive your PUK code, you will need to enter it into your phone to set a new PIN code.
Don't forget to rate me OK! thanks...
Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."
A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from your SIM card Customer Care.
PUK is pin unblocking key. You'll need to contact your service provider (AT&T, Verizon, whomever) to get the code. Too many incorrect guesses will make your SIM die so please avoid guessing since it is a factory setting and a completely random set of numbers.
If you log onto your companys website under your account and go to the option that says devices you can get the puk code- different than a pin code. If you enter in too many numbers it will permanently block your sim card and you will have to buy a new sim card from your cell phone company- they are about $20.... You are going to have to tell your parents, but let them know it happens alot and with a touch screen even if you had the correct number you want to be careful to put it in exactly... They have to be with you to get it as they are probably the authorized users...... YOu can pay for it, and that might help?!
PUK code can only provided from your service provider/carrier. Call them and ask them for your PUK code and enter that into your phone. then it will accept your NEW 4 digit PIN number. Do not enter any more random codes as it will permanently deactivate your SIM card and then you need to buy a new one.
