Hi thyme4sony

The first thing to look for is in the venting. most people think that HEAT is what drys your cloths, this is partly true but what most people dont realize is that you need airflow having said that check the venting there must be a build up of lint in the line. the other this is the length of your venting , if there is a lot of 90 degree elbows that is gonna be a probelm to because every elbow adds 5 feet of hose.i hope this helped.

Whirlpool dryer le5750 won't heat up

Sounds like the heating element is open. Hot coils just like a toaster. Look for a break in the nichrome wire coil. Also involved are over temp cutouts to prevent fires. These have two wires each and if okay should show continuity between the two terminals.

I have a Cabrio dryer from whirlpool model # wgd6200swo and it will not heat up

Your dryers heating element has most likely gone bad. This typically doesnt occur unless the dryer has some age on it but it can happen. The heating element can be accessed from the back of the unit and is quite easly replaced if you are somewhat handy. SAFETY FIRST! Please make sure that you unplug the unit prior to attempting any repairs. Once you have disconnected the unit from its power source, you can begin to replace the heating element. You can usually purchase these elements at your local appliance store. Good luck.
