I have a similar situation. When we turn the TV on, the screen is gray. The audio works fine. When I change the channel, the audio is appropriate, but there is no picture...just a gray screen. I have lost my owner's manual and have not been able to perform any type of troubleshooting. Please help!

SOURCE: Gray Screen, appropriate sound

I recently did a repair on mine for a different reason and noticed this same condition when I turned it back on. I found that by squeezing the casing for the LCD the picture came back. I have not investigated further to assess loose connection, broken connector, etc. But I would start at this location (the LCD assembly). The internal board (main assembly) has all the pin connectors glued into place and the main assembly is not a moving part. So would suspect connection problems less likely here.

Sorry this tv can't be repair only can be by replacing the tv whole LCD screen panel itself only. Not practical because the tv LCD screen panel itself it is 90% of the cost and important to the tv functions itself.By replacing the tv LCD screen panel itself will cost the same as a new tv.Sorry this now only worth as a salvavage tv for it electronic boards for spare parts for other tvs only now.

I know you can that you can change this by simply hooking up a scan tool for specific year. There are language options accessible for situations like this. Here is a sample of what can be changed using VAG 5052 or equivalent scanners.

Blank screen with other displays still working

1. By View your DVR, Do you mean you can actually see a picture?
2. By "Switch Channels", are these channels being tuned by the TV Tuner?

Your LCD Panel is OK Since you have a Picture (input display in right corner)
If you can see a picture with your DVR, VCR, DVD or any external source then your TVs Video Processing is OK....if not you will probably need to replace the responsible PWB for this function
If you can see a picture with the external sources and only the TV's Tuner is not showing Video, The PWB responsible for Tuning within the TV should be replaced.

Also, if all problems are associated with only the DVR (I assume this is Sat or Cable), then it is most likely that this device is not functioning properly. Possibly lost signal or deauthorized.

It's the 26 inch version but have problem with picture

Hi Paul,
It looks like your TV might have a main board failure if the screen stays white without video. Since your TV is less then a year, I would suggest to contact the manufacturers to get fix under warranty. Most electronics devices carry one year warranty.
Good Luck.
