Question about Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer
We have Maytag Neptune washer and dryer and we have been finding grease stains on our dark clothes...random various sized splotches all over. I'm not sure if they originate in the washer or dryer.
We don't use any fabric softener or dryer sheets...we run the washer on the cold cycle always. Any ideas what could be causing this...there are no obvious marks showing up on white clothes.
Hi my son worked on a car and got greese/oil on his new winter jacket and its dark in color. how do i get it out?

It could also be built up mold that is under the tub. If you decide to take out tub to clean the backside you may want to replace the bearings and seal while you have it apart. I've heard of MAH5500b's needing the bearings replaced already. The machine will get louder in spin cycle and eventually sound like a jet taking off. See www.neptunebearing.com for more bearing info. They also rent the Tony Tool which was designed specifically for taking out and replacing the Neptune front loader bearings and it includes a DVD that shows the Neptune step by step disassembly.

i have some good news for you, its n greas. what it is, is built up detergen between the tubs. its common on front loads. its due to to much detergen. waht i recomend to all my customers is not to sue more then 4 table spoons of detergen for a wash. now how to get rid of it, take some POWDERED dishwaher detergent and run a HOT cycle do this about 3 time and that should fix the problem. hope this helped .
