Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.

clip_image001.jpg
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

hope this may help;

hi,
Check whether the tv's ac input voltage. if it is 110V then it is made for US users only. It will only work with NTSC colour system. Here in India the colour system is PAL.

Picture in picture operation & connection to dvd player

Now--first--connect the DVR cable box HDMI output to the HDTV HDMI input (use the lowest numbered one e.g. HDMI 1) for this connection. Use a standard (not Monster brand) HDMI cable for this connection. Then turn on the TV, turn on the cable box and switch the TV to the HDMI input. A picture should come on. You may even hear the audio on the TV speakers. If so, that is OK.

Then--connect the component video output of the DVD HT to the TV component 1 input. Use a three wire component video cable with red, blue and green connectors on each end. Connect color to color on both ends. Then turn on the DVD, put a DVD in the player and start it running. Switch the TV to the component input and it should show a pix. The audio will come from the DVD player speakers.

If your DVD player does have an HDMI output, you can use it and just connect as above to the second TV HDMI input.

To get audio from the cable box out of the DVD player speakers, you will need to connect an audio cable from the cable box go the HT amplifier. Use a set of RCA patch cables and go from the analog audio output of the cable box to the rear panel audio inputs of the DVD player. The owners manual for this unit will give directions on using this input. Since your HT unit does not have any other inputs, you will not be able to get Dolby Digital audio.

Hope this gives you food for thought. If so, and you have more questions, just come back in with a follow up.

Good luck. Remember, the owners manuals all have hook up connections diagrams. Sometimes they will help.

How do I fix my Samsung 40 LED TV that has sound but no picture?

Here is what to check when your TV is turned on, power light is ON, but no picture is seen or sound is heard:

1 - Be sure the component you are using (Xbox, Cable, SAT, ROKU) is turned ON.
2 - Check to be sure all cable and cords are securely connected to the TV inputs and component outputs.
3 - Make sure you are on the correct input as some TV's will show a black screen if there is nothing connected to that input.
4 - Unplug the input you are trying to use from the TV (such as an HDMI Cable) and plug it back in.
5 - Check for signs of damage on all cords and cables from the TV to all components.
6 - Make sure the TV is not in ENERGY SAVE MODE, press the button on the remote control to go back to normal mode.
7 - Unplug the TV for 10 minutes to see if there was a temporary one time issue with the TV.
8 - Disconnect the TV from power for 2 minutes, then when plugging it back in PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE TV FOR 10 to 20 SECONDS to try and force the TV to reset.
9 - If after checking all these different issues, you may have a Faulty Power Supply Board, A Bad Capacitor on the Power Supply Board, Loose Wire Harness, or Loose Ribbon Connector in the TV itself.
10 - Most likely when a TV has the power light ON but NO PICTURE and NO SOUND, it is the Power Supply Board that has failed.

BTW, here are solutions for you to play iTunes movies on Samsung smart TV

Samsung TV model un40eh53000fxza have sound but no picture

It all depends on the connections and cable.
If you are using a HDMI cable and have sound but no picture, then your TV probably needs to be fix.
if you are using a RCA cable or component cable, make sure that you have the correct TV input.
you don't specify what type of TV you have, but if I were you, I'll check the connections first.

Trying to connecting my Bose lifestyle to my Samsung led smart tv to play a DVD with a yellow video cord and picture is blurry and double and has jo color? Any ideas how to fix Bose lifestyle is older...

Without the specific LifeStyle model # it's not easy to say for sure, but it sounds like you might have a composite cable plugged into a component video output of the Bose. Assuming it does not have HDMI output, it might have white/red/yellow (RCA-type jacks, aka "phono") and that yellow jack is a composite video output. It would plug into the same color jack on the TV. There are also RGB (Red/Green/Blue) component outputs on many devices and similar inputs on the TV, so you have to match like color out to same color in and make sure the TV is set to composite video input, not HDMI nor component.

Also could just be a bad cable. It's always the cheap things that we overlook, so with the same output/input setup, assuming you match type, try a different cable. The actual color of the end on the cable does not matter, but don't plug a yellow-colored output jack to a red, white, blue or green input jack on the TV - that won't work.

Give me properly installation of stand alone dvr with computer all window how sport the dvr send me properly anstallation of standalone dvr

Take one co-axial cable, and connect the "input" port to your cable-company's wall-port.

Look at the connectors on the back of your TV. You could have:
* coaxial input (lowest video-quality)
* S-Video input (better video-quality)
* component input - three cables for video, two cables for audio (better video-quality)
* HDMI input (highest video-quality)

Look at the connectors on the "output" side of the PVR. You could have:
* coaxial output (lowest video-quality)
* S-Video output (better video-quality)
* component output - three cables for video, two cables for audio (better video-quality)
* HDMI output (highest video-quality)

Connect the "outputs" to the "inputs", using appropriate cables.

Turn the PVR on. Turn the TV on.

Use the "source" button on the TV's remote-control to select from the various inputs
(Coax, S-Video, Component, HDMI1, HDMI2).

If your TV has 'PIP' ("Picture-In-Picture") capability, connect more than one output to a second input, so that both tuners inside your TV will receive a signal.
