Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines
I couldnt find the users manual for the model #. I also looked on the machine & found several #'s, but i do not think they are decribing the model as they are very long. Where do they put this info on the machine? It is less than 4 years old. The problem i am experiencing is this:
The washer filled with water, then agitated & stopped after agitation cycle. It would not empty the dirty water & spin after numerous tries by resetting the selector knob. I tried the other wash cycle settings & that did not work either. I emptied the washer of clothes & tried again with no luck. I believe this is a simple part replacement, but am not sure how to test components to be sure. Any advice would be appreciated. TY
You're right, this is a simpe part replacement. The problem you describe is a lid switch malfunction. This is a very simple repair that doesn't cost much. If you post back with your model number (located along the wash tub opening) I can tell you what the part number is and how to replace it.
PS When posting questions, provide as much information as possible. You can use the comments section to include model numbers. All Whirpool washers are not designed alike and it makes it much easier to propery diagnose and assist you.
