my sanyo tv is flashing red and green and cant get volume keys or channel keys to work

When I turn on TV after 5 seconds of sound and no picture, the power button turns red and I have to unplug it to turn it off.

I heard a pop and that when it started doing the same thing, Now mine will act like it's turning on and I hear audio for about 5 seconds before it goes off again.

- i have the same problem, but as luck would be i have two of these sets.one of my sets starts from standby red then flashing green then after approx 10secs steady flashing red.
the flashing red is the power light (not warning light) which is next to lamp replace indicater.
i suspect it is whats called a ballast board which has some kind of start up for the projection bulb.
i'll keep you all posted with my results'

- After the 5 seconds or so the standby led changes from green to red and starts flashing. I believe the set detects an over temperature condition as the cooling fan keeps running during this time. After 30 seconds or so it attempts automatically to restart and sometimes will run without any problem thereafter.Very frustrating.

I have a SANYO PLV-55WHD1. Sound and mouth do not match. Do not have original remote. Using a universal remote. TV has not played in 6 months. Only happens on live shows.

I'm also having the same trouble. It's only a day when I bought this TV and after watching for 2 or 3 hours, I turned the TV off to take a shower, when I get back to open it, it only turns green and I hear a sound for like just 5 secs, then it goes back to red (standby mode). What seems to be the problem? The LCD is 32" and a day old.

good news and bad news... repaired by srevice man but no idea what was wrong... more bad news after its fixed, it'll only be a short time before a new problem arrives.
