Model number DP50747 The tv just turned off by itself. When you turn it on there is no sound or picture just a black screen. Only had this tv about 1 year. Can you help me?

I had the same problem with my sanyo tv a couple weeks ago, I took it to the repair shop, turned out it was a bad diode. $60.00 later I could watch my tv. I don't know if this helps, but I strongly suggest taking it to a repair place rather than trying to fix it yourself.

Sanyo DS35510 35" has picture but no sound. Checked all audio under menu section, turned both tv and cable up really loud, made sure both cable and tv wasb't on mute and still no sound.

Hello,

You may have a malfunctioning audio output IC. I would suggest checking the input to the IC and seeing if you have an audio signal at the input. If so then the output IC is defective, if not continue checking the stages of audio going back from the output IC.

In addition check your speaker connections, and internal cabling.
This can cause this problem also.

Thank you

Does your screen light up or picture comes before it turns off? This could be from your X-ray protection feature, you will have to check the power supply output voltages.

Sounds like you have a bad speaker,or at the most the audio amp needs changing. Get old speaker out of another tv or stereo.

Volume wont turn down or mute

This can happen if you hook an external amp to the audio output jacks on the TV and those jacks are set to fixed output, but I will assume that you are talking about the sound through the TV's internal speakers. If the picture is normal and the On Screen Display (OSD) shows that volume is being turned down then the microprocessor is putting out the correct clock and data commands. You need to find the audio processor IC which controls the volume, tone, balance, etc. and see if the clock and data information is actually reaching that IC. If it is then I will bet that the IC is defective and needs to be replaced. If you do not have an oscilloscope or experience in repairing PC boards then have a qualified tech handle it for you.

Tv has no picture

sounds like a antenna block problem or a tuner?? Now Im wondering if this set has mutiple antenna inputs?? if it does then the antenna input switch is on the wrong mode.
