Question about Televison & Video
While TV was in operation heard a loud pop and television went dead. After removing back the first noticeable problem was a 22 gauge red wire leading from the circuit board to the picture tube in half. Appears a jolt of power shorted this wire and separated it in the center (of the wire). After stripping ends and reconnecting the wire, plugged it in and there was a soft "click, click, click" sound. Still no picture or sound. Any ideas? Is there a downloadable service manual available for this model? If so, what website do I go to?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

There are some components in the vertical deflection circuit area that are failing. An experienced TV service man should be able to troubleshoot and repair this for you. It could take several hours of labour cost.
