Hello Mia1026,

First I would suggest that you have a qualified TV technician look at your set because it sounds like your Blue and green CRTs have been damaged in the move. If this is the case they will have to be replaced.
I would if I were repairing this TV:
Check to see if there was physical damage to the CRTs
Check to see if the HV trippler was functioning
Check to see if the CRTs lit when power is applied (on the Green and Blue CRTs)
That would be a good start.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Adjusting the Color Temperature

Color temperature refers to how red (warm) or blue (cool) the color palette is. This control helps you to adjust the color settings on your TV. You can change the color settings by following these steps:

- Using the TV remote, select settings and look for a menu item labelled video or picture.
- Select Color Temperature. A slider should appear that allows you to slide between cool and warm colors. The colors might also be labelled red or blue.
- Slide the settings away from red/warm and towards blue/cool using the remote control. You can leave the slider at the point where the color is most pleasing to you.

Red Tint on Screen

This is normal and is a color calibration issue.

For correct color, NEVER use the "WARM" setting. Why? Too red. You cannot get REALISTIC or ACCURATE color using the "Warm" setting.

Since we are speaking of Samsung, first avoid the "Flesh Tone" adjustment. When things are set correctly there is no need for this adjustment. It is a quick fix and not for the "discerning eye".

1. First, access the "Color Temperature" menu. From here select "Cool2" or the coolest temperature setting.

Note: For Samsung use "Cool2", or if not available, "Cool1". Samsung has inadvertently increased calibration confusion by issueing TVs that have just "Cool1", and TVs that have both "Cool1" and "Cool2" :0[

For other brands, use "Cool", or "High", or "+6500k". Anything lower artificially reddens the picture and compromises detail.

2. Now return to the color settings and reduce "Color" to between 30 and 40 (on a 100 scale). The sweet spot is just near the place where the color rapidly washes out.

3. To round out the color palette, move to the "Tint" adjustment and ADD a couple (3-5) clicks to the GREEN.

Adding the touch of green is what is needed to take out the last bit of "pink" and will make all the tones and all colors display properly.

I hope this helps!

Images on screen are very red. Tried adjusting everything in the menu but still every thing is like glowing red.

Color balance is labeled "Tint"
Color amount is labeled "Color"

Both are in the "picture" adjustments menu.

Either your tint is swung too far to red, or the color setting is wide open making normally pink faces look sunburned...likely it's a combination of the two; Too much red, and a bit too much color.

Going back to the "default factory setting" in "setup" will also drop all settings to center.

Picture is very dark and color not too good.

Take the front speaker grille off; it is stiff but will pull off. Take off the access panel underneath; four or five screws. Inside you will find a screen/focus block control assembly. Get a flashlight. Turn up the screen controls SLIGHTLY. for RED, GREEN AND BLUE. The best way to do this is to turn off the color first and make sure you end up with a good black and white pix ( not tinged green, red or blue) then turn the color back up in the menu.

Hitachi 52 projection tv

use the advanced options page and reset the factor blue and red convergence defaults then do re apply the auto color defaults color at first it seemed very red (which is good because red was the missing factor in the green picture) but after reseting all the color and tints to the normal ranges I then reset the color auto correct again and all seems fine.
