i think there is still connection problem please make sure all connection is connect well and all cable is connected and check compressorcapacitor is good condition . and check all thermostat and temperaturesettingafter that try you air con unit i hope it will work .

It sounds like the condenser coils are dirty. This is the coils that are located on the outside. You can use compressed air or a sprayer on a water hose to rinse them. Window units need to be serviced just like split systems. Make sure you don't use a real high pressure so you don't bend the fins.
THE CLICKING SOUND IS A RELAY PULLING IN ITS LIKE A SWITCH CONNECTING TWO WIRES. THIS IS A GOOD SOUND BUT IS USALLY FOLLOWED BY SOMETHING COMING ON FAN ETC... CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR UNIT HAS AN LED LIGHT ON IT AND HOW MANY TIMES IF ANY DOES IT BLINK?
