You can obtain a spark plug at any Troy Built dealer. Lowes is ours. Your owners manual should tell you what type of oil to use. Again you can obtain it at Lowes.

Looks like oil and fuel is leaking or blowing from exhaust.

John - Husqvarna makes really good power equipment that seldom offers trouble. The unit you are talking about is a 2 cycle system, meaning you mix oil and gas together in lieu of having an oil sump at the bottom of the engine like 4 cycle motors have. First question, did you mix a bottle of One Mix 2 cycle oil to a gallon of regular gas to start off using your machine? If you did, then I would think your unit is badly flooded, which happens a lot with 2 cycle equipment. Try taking out the spark plug and see if the spark plug looks wet from too much fuel. If it is, leave the spark plug out for a day or so to allow the cylinder head to vent the gas fumes. Replace the wet spark plug with a new one and try to start the unit again. Here's a tip: If you do flood a 2 cycle piece of equipment (trimmer, chainsaw, blower, etc.) again, make sure the choke is off and hold the throttle trigger wide open. Pull the started cord several times until the unit starts to run. Keep holding the throttle wide open until it clears itself out. Remember, you run the equipment, it does not run you :-)

Appears oil is blowing out the air intake.

If the tension screws are tight and the oil spills or leaks out, then the metal housing may have a fissure, a fine crack when under pressure spews out oil. A cracked head is replaceable.
Look for leaks from any seals also.

I have a craftsman 32cc weedwhacker trimmer and its brand new and it hasnt started from day one it isnt getting any spark at all

If you have spark problems, remove the wire and then remove the plug, reattach the wire and ground the plug to the engine and pull the string, you should see arc and hear it pop, if not, take the plug to another piece of equipment and remove that equipment's plug wire and attach it to the plug from the weed ******* and then ground it and test it. If still no spark, then plug bad, if plug then the weed ******* has a problem with the spark plug wire or the ignition coil.

If you have spark at first test, then the problem with the weed ******* is somewhere else.

Lawn mower has smoke coming from it after I put oil in it

You could have rings or valves sticking. You could have a bad crankcase breather. You could have run it too low on oil for too long and caused undue engine wear. The oil should be clear, never black, and the only oil you should use is SAE30 detergent oil. I personally recommend using synthetic oil in ALL internal combustion engines. If you use some in the lawn mower, you can use a multi-viscosity oil, but only SAE30 if using conventional oil. You may have a lot of carbon and varnish on the rings and valves, which allows oil to go places it is not supposed to, causing the smoke. If the smoke is blue, you are burning oil. If the smoke is white, there is too much oil in the engine or there is gas or water in the oil. I do suggest removing and inspecting the spark plug. Plugs will tell you the condition of your engine inside. You may want to clean or replace the plug. Look at these pictures and causes for them for spark plugs. Pull yours out and compare.

How can i test spark plug for firing and armature for spark on\r\n a featherlite weedeater without pro equipment

Remove the spark plug, plug the wire back on and have some hold the spark plug against the engine if possible, then crank and watch for a spark. Make sure the person holding the plug has rubber handled pliers or something similar so they don't get shocked.

I have a Model 29270 REV B00 Craftsman 4 cycle mini-tiller. Can't find a spark plug or air filter. Appreciate some direction.

Craftsman part numbers will help on this search. Typically 3 digits separated by a '.' such as 345.45687

If you can find these, please re-post the question. :)

My Homelite UT-20002A trimmer have a hard starting problem. I remove the muffler and cleaned the carbon in the exhaust port. I also replaced the spark plug, but still the trimmer is dificult to start.

If you can, check to make sure there is a spark. Check the plug and notice if there is a presence of gas/oil mix on the plug or in the cylinder. Also, make sure the air filter is clean Try to make sure all bolts and screws are tight as lots of vibrations can loosen some of them.. An air leak on the engine could be causing your problems. A carburetor that is in need of a rebuild will do the same.. Finally an engine that is badly worn and has weak compression will not start, period.

I have an old Craftsman 6.75 hp walk behind

Not sure where to look for the model number. But here's a few things to check.
1. If the gas is old (from last year), drain it out of the tank, carb and lines and replace with fresh. Gas can go bad and won't ignite properly after it has been around too long.
2. Replace the spark plug.... sometimes they look good and aren't.
3. Clean the Air filter. Take the filter element out of the housing and give it a good cleaning with compressed air. If it's plugged up with debris and dust, your trimmer won't run.
4. Make sure the oil level is correct. Many of the current motors won't run if the oil is low.
hope this help ya

Homelite trimmer dies every time I squeeze the handle

The engine is not getting enough fuel to the high speed jet. The issue may be one of the following:
  1. Restricted fuel filter (in the fuel tank)
  2. Pin hole in the fuel line (are bubbles seen traveling in the fuel line?).
  3. Improperly mixed fuel/oil
  4. Poor grade oil ~ never use outboard or genaric 2 cycle oil, use the manufactures oil or gold spectra (available at motorcycle shops).
  5. Mal-adjusted carburetor, if you changed the brand oil you used in the past the carburetor may need to be readjusted to compensate, or switch back to the oil used before the issue occured.
