Question about Amana ABB1927DE Bottom Freezer Refrigerator
Crisper drawers get too cold at 25 degrees farenheight (even with crisper temperature lever set to warm .)...and freeze my lettuce...i have the humidity set low . Bottom freezer nicely maintains 0 farenheight....and frigerator nicely maintains 40 farenheight . What do i have to do to get my crisper temperature to hold at say 36 to 40 degrees ?

i never go by that / just hold my finger over the air port and move it till i feel move air or less to set it the way i need it ,,, less air puts less air into crisper to cut down on freezing

Shut the air flow into the crispers if you can. If not, turn the refrigerator temperature warmer by just a few degrees. The air into the fridge from the freezer is channeled into the crispers.

on most of my serviuce calls of this nature
this model does exactly what your saying..
open your freezer and inspect the back wall, check it for frost, it is very easy yto remove the back wall.
if its full of frost you will want to clear that away
there is a drain behind the wall as well,, make sure that it is free of any obstruction and free to drain at the dring the drfrost, if not the water will run down the back walls.and unfortunatley right into the drawers....
hope this helps

SOURCE: Salad in drawer is freezing
One user claims that the return air vents or vent located at the bottom rear of the fresh food compartment, have collected enough junk to block the cold air from returning to the freezer compartment. You can clean them out but I cannot verify that solution.
The crispers are located in the coldest part of the fresh food compartment.
This problem can occur when the machine gets light usage especially in colder weather, when the machine running time drops and the air in the fresh food stratifies, causing to cold air to pool in the bottom.
Normal may no longer be normal. Controls by their design will tend to run colder as they age. You might try tweaking the control warmer.
Patience and time are the most important tool you have to work with in dealing with this issue.
