Camara is less than a year old. First the battery wasnt charging, so bought new battery. After one day of use, the screen shut down. Still takes pictures but the screen doesnt work! I lost my receipt (I bought it in an airport) HELP!

Sound like either a back light or LCD issue either one can be replaced on these units it requiressoldiering and you have to make sure every thing is seated correctly if you do not fill comfortable replacing the parts you can go to www.digitalcamrepair.com if you need further assistance.

Make sure your charger is working, and good. You have to measure the output with a volt-meter. Next, make sure the battery terminals inside the battery are clean, sometimes they oxidize or get dirty. If none of that works, the unit will have to be troubleshot...power switch, electronic boards, etc. That can cost more than the cost of a replacement camera, so get an estimate before you repair it. There are some good brand 10.2 mp cameras on sale these days for $69...can't beat that!

changed my old batteries, because they were getting low. It was only
after i put in the NEW batteries that i had this problem... I tried
putting the old batteries back in and sure enough it worked again, so
it probably all just depends on the brand of the battery you use.
