Remove top cover, tilt m/c towards you, this gives you more space to work in, and slip belt over motor pulley first, then gradually ease belt over drum pulley turning the drum with the belt, until it is on.
Keep your fingers from getting trapped as the belt is very tight

Here is some conversation not relevant to your statement but maybe associated later on Faulty Hotpoint WMA64 DIYnot com DIY and Home Improvement .

Refitting the belt between the drum & motor

There is a tensioner on the floor. It may have slipped out ... pop the top off and remove the front of the machine. Sprin clips hold the top.
Around the drum, through the tensioner and around the pulley. Reassemble

How to replace belt on wma62

There is a small panel at the bottom rear of washer that can be removed.
Remove this, and you will be able to see if the belt is on or not.

If it has come off, then to refit it, or fit a new one on, do the following.
Remove the top cover by undoing 2 screws located behind 2 plastic covers st the top front sides of washer.
They are torx screws, but you can usually get them undone with a small screwdriver.
Lift the top up at the front, and smartly push the top back,
towards the rear, remove the top.

Tilt the washer forward towards you, this will give you more room to work in.
Fit the belt round the motor pulley first, then pull it up towards the drum pulley, and reaching down from the top slowly feed the belt round the pulley, turning it as you do so, it is difficult, but this is
the best way to do it.
Don't get your fingers trapped.
There is no adjustment req'd, as it is a self tesioning belt.
Plz rate my solution.

Dru wont turn at all

Hi, welcome to Fixya.

The belt has come off for a reason, and there are a few reasons for it to do so.

1- You have overloaded the m/c
2- It is not draining properly.
3- The main drum bearings have gone. Before replacing the belt spin the drum by hand, and if it is noisy or feels rough , then the bearings have gone.
That means calling an engineer.
4- Worn or broken belt.
To refit the belt, do the following.
Remove top cover, and rear panel.
Tilt the m/c forwards, and support it.
Reach inside and slip the belt over the motor pulley, then start feeding the belt round the drum pulley, it is fiddley, but this is the only way, as you get the belt futher round, it will get very tight, so don't trap your fingers, just keep on going.
If it slips off, start again.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks, And a merry xmas.
