I have just fitted a pioneer DEH-1320MP to my golf but the radio will not hold the presets when turned off. So every time you strart car you need to retune the resets on the radio. Is this something to do...

Yes, someone forgot to hook up the lead that says Batt + to a constant battery + voltage , this will keep the presets on the radio when the key is off, unless you disconnect the battery.

Hold is on and nothing will will work how do i turn off hold on a alpine cda-7892 cd player

Try resetting it. Also if it won't reset using the reset button found behind the faceplate. Take off the negative battery cable under the hood this should reset everthing. Then replace it. If it is old and the motor is having trouble kicking the cd out then stick a used no good cd in on top of the other cd and use it to apply pressure to the cd in the player then pull it out after pressing eject

While testing before final installation of the JVC KD-G240 CD Player, the only power I can get is to eject a disc and temporarily display the time. I cannot turn the unit on. After pressing the reset...

This is an indication that the "ACC" line is not getting the 12 volts to turn on the radio. Check the fuses, it may have blown one. The "ACC" is the red wire that comes off the back of the radio harness. It needs a 12 volt supply when the key is turned on for the radio to work properly. When this is missing, you will have the conditions you have described. The yellow wire is for a constant 12 volts even when the radio is off and the car is off. Since you do get the eject and the clock display you have a good ground, so that is not an issue. You just need to find out why you do not have the 12 volts on the red wire when the key is turned on in the car.

I have a kenwood 719 flip out monitor and i put a cd in it and the monitor says mecha error and won't let the cd come out. It just makes a bunch of noises. I pressed the reset button but that didn't work....

You can try to push the CD in further with an object and then try ejecting (be careful not to break the CD!). Also, the soft reset button on the outside of the unit may not work, but disconnecting constant power (hard reset) may cause the CD to automatically be ejected when powered back up again. This can be done by disconnecting the negative battery terminal on the car for 15 seconds. If these don't work, visit a local Kenwood stereo dealer for service as this is a common issue with the 719 series and 819 series.

My dvd will not eject?

What model number is this.

A Kenwood will sometimes eject the disc when you press the reset button.
The reset button is a very small round hole that you need a pen tip or paperclip, something small to press it with. It is on the display.
If you can not find the reset switch you can always unplug the harness in the back of the radio for a minute and then plug it back in, but if you have a security code protected radio you will need to enter the code to use the radio again or use the remote to clear the code. If you need that done and have a remote, let me know and I will post the procedure for that, but i must have the model number of the radio. Be aware that by resetting the unit, you will need to set the clock and preset radio stations after.

If resetting does not work, you will need to take it to an authorized Kenwood service center for repair. There is no other end user method for ejecting the disc.

let me know if you need more help with this, but please remember to list the model number. Thanks

Have an ALPINE CDA 7995 that won't eject CD - looking for possible suggestions without having to pull the deck

It should have a reset button on the display, try pressing thatin with a paperclick, toothpick, or something small enough to get into that tiny little switch. If if does not have a reset switch try disconnecting the harness on the back of the radio for just a few seconds and then plug it back in. Once the unit resets, the cd player should initialize and eject the disc.
If this does not work you will need to take it in for service at a repair center. Alpines are very good stereos and worth getting fixed.

Have a Blaupunkt AM FM Radio/In-Dash Ch Cgnager (6 stacker) in a 2003 Holden Commodore. After ejecting the 6th one of the CD's succesfully, get "CD Error mech" message and it will not eject the...

We eventually tried loading another CD to fill the one vacant spot we knew was in the changer even though we'd tried that before without success. This time it seems that we fluked it just as it was trying to eject CD 1 again and - somehow - the CD we were tryng to insert must have lifted the rim of the one that was stuck and it suddenly ejected. The remaining 4 CD's that were inside the changer but not even recognised, then started re-loading so it appears that they were all jammed up together. Once they'd reloaded we were able to eject them all successfully then reload.
We're not sure but think that it may have happened when the eject button was originally pressed once to eject CD 6 then, in error, held down for a 'eject all' procedure and the changer has become confused with both instructions.
