Xbox 360 turns on but no green lights on power button so the controller dosent respond to xbox.

If you are useing an hdmi lead, make sure it is pushed fully into the console and the tv.
Hope this helps.

My Xbox 360 won't turn on. The power supply has an orange/yellow light but my console does not turn on... any suggestions?

Make sure you have pushed the lead in the back of your xbox all the way! once pushed in the back you should hear it click, if the power supply is from another xbox differant year in manufacturing date, then the power supply would not be compatable as the plug in the back would not push in all the way.

My xbox 360 AC adapter is in yellow light and the console is not working, what i do to make it to chage to green light?

If you have no power to the console or the console itself is not powered on then the light will not turn green. In other words...until you can turn the power on to your xbox 360 the light will remain yellow. Check the connection to the back of your 360 it may have wiggled loose somehow. The instant that the power brick senses power making a complete cycle in your 360 your light will turn green. If the 360 fails to turn on when you push the power button or when you push the center button on your wireless controller or when you push the center button on a wired or wireless controller that is connected physically to the 360 then I hope it is still under warranty. If not then you should contact someone about how to repair this issue. It may be that the power button is the only thing broken on this machine.

Where does the guitar controller plug into the xbox 360. I don't see a plug like it anywhere on the xbox console. I have the guitar hero III. With the guitar model number 95157.805

If you look on the front of your 360 way down at the bottom you will see a little door at the bottom, push the little flap in towards the system and you will see two usb ports, plug it in there.

Xbox 360 overheats on startup

there could be hardware problems! mine never gave the two lights when it started it but when playing certain games it overheated and thats whats happening.. i got upset and opened mine up[ voids warrenty for three red lights] and added a 3 inch fan with a 12 v converter for its on power. i set it in on the heat sink and the bottom right corner of the xbox..

so i think you should get a powerful 3inch by 3inch fan with its on power supply and set ur xbox so you can point the fan at the bottom of the xbox! this will help! dont open ur xbox just set a powerful fan[ radio shack, walmart, hardware store] and let it cool the bottom of ur xbox!!!!!!!!

Cheapist way

!!items needed!!!

1. 12 v dc brushless fan

1. 12 volt ac power adapter that hooks up to the wall and the fan for a Direct Current!
thats it may cost over 20 and walmart is cheap and a little less quality

but as long as air pushing on the bottom of ur xbox is moving fast[ dont put the fan to close] so heat is transfered ur good
