First, try to reset the router. Hold the reset button at the back of the router for 20 seconds then unplug the power. Make sure the modem is off as well. While the modem and router are off, double check your physical connection. Make sure the modem is plug into the Internet port of the router and your PC to port number 1. Power on the modem first, wait for the lights to go solid then power on the router. Check if the internet works fine.

Hope that helps.

My router was running and stopping for several days, then completely quit working. No lights come on at all--we've only had it since Dec what can I do

The best thing to do is try and reset it. This usually helps get it running good again.

With the router powered on.. Turn the router around.. There is a small small hole.. Inside that hole is a reset button..

You will need something small like an unfolded paperclip, or, sometimes the tip of an inkpen will work.

Press into the hole, and press the reset button inside the hole untill the routers lights flash at once for a second together, then go out..

Once this is done, unplug the router, then plug it back in ( power cord)

The router will be reset.

Your wireless network will work, but it wont have a password. To set a password again, you will need to run the setup cd that came with the router.

I can't figure which wire goes where\w my Belkin Router. There's no manuel to show me how, or where to put the wires!

1.Please look on the rear end of the router you ll see 4 grey and one yellow slot
2.The ethernet slot from Your ISP Modem(Eg Motorola or westell)should be connected to yellow slot on the belkin and computer to one of the 4 grey slot
3.Run the Set Up CD :
4.Check for the light status : It should be green

Which means the router is all set and good to go

Modem router light blinking (no wireless connection) F5D8631-4

Try restoring the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and pressing the RESET button on the back of the Belkin for 7 secs. Then connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Belkin, open IE browser and type the configuration IP address and configure the wireless settings ie. SSID, encryption etc. The computer wireless cards will need to be configured with the Belkin wireless settings to allow them to communicate with the Belkin.

Belkin G plus MIMO router - Red light

after a while the use that is put to the router will decline
and will get worse as multiple devices are making it work hard
the best thing to do is leave it unplugged for a day and then unplug it when not in use , this will at least extend the life of the router
it will end up needing repair to the comunications circut eventually or just buying a new one may just be cheaper then trying to get it fixed

Belkin router F5D9230-4 connection issues

First thing to do here is to reset the router, Press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds while the power is ON then after that unplug/replug the power for 5 seconds then run again the setup CD and if the router is still working after the reset it should be configure by the setup CD, if not I will advice you to contact Belkin tech support so they can further check if the router is bad already and if its still under warranty they can replace it....

Hope that helps..........
