Remove the battery cover. To do so,
(1) press the ridged area on the battery cover using your thumb and gently slide it in the direction of the arrow
(2). Remove the battery cover.

(1)Place the battery so that the three brass tabs on the end align with the three brass prongs at the bottom of the battery compartment
(2). Press the battery down until it clicks into place
(3).Replace the battery cover. Make sure that the battery is properly installed before switching on the handset.

What's the puk code for a samsung j700?

As far as I know, the puk code is the 2nd level security code of your SIM card, not your phone's. It is invoked if something goes wrong with your PIM code. It should have come in the plastic card, the one you detach the SIM card from. If you haven't kept that card, you should contact your network carrier, to try to get that code back.
Just my 2 cents...
Cheers! Carlos

How to Unblock Network lock of SAMSUNG SGH-J700

SAMSUNG SGH-J700 UNLOCKING:
1- Power on pone ,, type : *#7465625#
you will identify which code is active , which is inactive
2- Remove battery ,, Put your sim card , not all of it ,, just to prepare it to be full inserted , put your battery back and power on pone ,, you must see " insert sim" not "invalid sim.."
3- type : *2767*3855#
your pone should restart after 1 min ,,
now ,, and before it restart , push your sim card ,,without removing battery
4- your pone should work and accept the sim card ,, but if you check locks you will find that your pone is still Locked
5- now type : *7465685*638*00000000*00000000#
your UNLOCK CODE is 00000000 now ,
6- now , back to Locks table with : *#7465625# ,, and for each active code you can disable it ,,,Here details :
* Disables CP lock : #7465625*27*00000000#

Hi if you have entered the puk code wrong too many times, you can't enter it anymore, time to call your service provider for instructions or possibly replacement sim card.

I've explained more on this page

Hi there my son has a samsung j700 and needs a puk code for it please can u help?

PUK is a code used to unlock a sim card if it has been blocked by entering incorrect PIN numbers. The codes are usually supplied with the sim card. If you don't have the original sim packaging or codes you have to get your puk codes from your service provider.

Phone frozen

Is there a memory card in the phone? If so, it might be causing a problem. I just had the same thing - phone was stuck on the opening screen. I took it back to the shop. By a long process of elimination involving other handsets and sim cards, we eventually realised it was the memory card, which i have now thrown away.

So if you have a memory card, take it out. If there is still a problem, remove the battery and sim card, put them back in, turn phone back on (without memory card).

Hope this helps,
Aitch
