Coleman hot water on demand

It's brand new. I bought it in the winter but don't have the receipt. I followed the instructions for charging and cleaning and inserting the propane tank. The unit pumps the water fine, but it doesn't heat it. I can hear if firing up (I know the sound, I have a propane fridge). I depress the button when turning and hold it in for hot. Still the water doesn't even get warm. The water temperature doesn't change at all.

If it's really cold the propane may need to be left out in the sun for an hour or just stored indoors left in a blanket. I did just that and it started working again

Mine had the same problem - pumped water and you could hear the ignitor, but didn't heat it. I found the problem when I looked up through the "hole" in the top of the battery charger storage compartment. One of the leads of the high temperature sender had been pushed off by the 12v charger when I inserted the charger into the hole to "give me more room" inside the compartment. I reattached the lead and all was fine.

EXCEPT!
Shortly after that, the faucet became stiff to turn. I opened the case and found that the swivel joint had seized and while turning the faucet, I was also twisting the connecting tubing between the faucet and the heat exchanger. Now I have a broken pipe inside the unit. Try finding a repair part for that!!!

Colemans hot water on demand.new battery ,plenty of gas .works on cold, but not on hot

If it is out of warranty there is a fuse inside them that is covered with a light rubber coating, it is the common glass style fuse. That may be causing your issue assuming the battery is ok. The batteries die regularly too especially if it hasnt been charged and is sitting around.

Why wont stay charged..used 2 times

If the lead acid rechargeable battery hasn't been charged for a while (like over the winter) it can lose its "memory". Try leaving it plugged in and charging for two or three days - it might fix the problem.

Hi i have a colman hot water on demand but have lost the 240 volt charger.i was wondering what milliamps or amps it needs to puchase another one from a elec store.

Coleman Charger mine is a 240~volt ~50Hz 12V~600mA
my other is a 240v ~5oHz 12V~1mA battery should only be( 6V4.5Ah)
with a 1mA hour change should only be 4 hours to charge as its a fast charger.

Our Coleman hot water on demand does not run at all, we purchased a new battrey and it still does not run will not pump warter or recharge charge, what could the problem be?

You may have blown the internal fuse. Remove side cover, locate the circuit board and fuse, replace and reseal reinstall side cover.

We done' use our coleman hot water on demand

I had a similar problem and was able to unscrew the screen at the end of the intake hose and manually move the pump propellor with a long nail which loosened it and it works fine now. I think it had seized with calcium deposit even though I had cleaned it as instructed.
