Describe your 24032 \ 24036 Top Load Washer Problem My washer won't spin or aggitate, could it be the coupler or the belt? I have a Kenmore 80 series, model # 110.23832100

check to make sure the belt hasn't come off. if it's direct drive make sure the shaft is working and moving freely. if all of these check out the motor that turns everything my be stuck, frozen up or just bad all together.

rebecca it is probably the motor coupler. Move or slide ur machine over and if there is ruber filings under it then it is the coupler.

Sounds as if your lid switch is open. You can by pas it under the control panel on the right in the back it is a the wire plug. Connect the black and brown on the switch side which will allow you to just plug a new one when or if you deciced you needed this "safety" feature. Do not put any part of your body in machine while spinning. Your welcome, Masta tech.

sounds like it's in the re-assembly since the water pump is directly connected to what you just did. take it apart once again and make sure all is put back right and water pump is properly seated on motor shaft.

your motor coupler is broke,tip the washer back and look between the motor and trans that is where the coupler is located-mike

kenore don't have belts they have couplers,check the lid switch-mike

Check your motor drive coupler. Tilt washer back against wall and look between motor and transmission . You will see a rubber grommet and two plastic couplers on each end of rubber , They may appear broken or you will see rubber shavings under washer.

you have a bad coupler, it's a $20 plastic and rubber part the connects the motor to the transmission. 

Your problem may not be a belt some Whirlpool built Kenmore washers are direct drive and have a coupler instead of a belt. The coupler is located on top of the motor. It consists of three parts two with prongs and one with holes for each of the prongs. If this is broken or badly worn the washer will not agitate or spin. Good luck.
