Use the "line-out" connector (usually it's light green in color), and if there is an audio control panel application, make sure the sound circuitry is set for "two-channel" or regular stereo speaker operation. It can be confusing on newer computers which have surround-sound capability built in. Depending on how you set up the sound, the jacks can have different functions. But the line-out jack is what you'll use with basic speakers such as yours.
on the lower right corner of your window you should see a small volume icon.. right click then click adjust audio properties... you should see that the speaker image is clearly seen...if it is blurred then the driver for your sound card is not properly installed or corrupted.... Try also connecting your speaker to the audio out of your tv to see if its working properly...if not check the lead connection for possible open wire.
As far as I know, this needs a pretty standard 1-amp 12 volt adapter. Radio Shack is probably your best place to find one since they have a supply with interchangeable tips. That way you can find the one that matches the speaker power jack. (If you're not in the US, you can check local electronic supply stores for a suitable replacement.)
Check this... its the nearest specs I've found... Good Luck. http://cgi.ebay.com/AC-DC-Adapter-110-220VAC-to-1-5-3-4-5-6-7-5-9-12VDC_W0QQitemZ200415259300QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2ea9ae2aa4
