Replace thermal fuse in line with the power cord. Open cover, follow power cord to a small cylinder about 3 milimeters across. It is pointed on one end. Cut it out and take to an appliance repair store. solder the replacement thermal fuse back in.

The microwave wont heat and making a lot of hummmm sound

In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or perhaps even the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system down for safety reasons It is the sound that gives it away. You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man.
Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.

DOOR ISSUES?

not sure how technically inclined you are and whether you like taking things apart. it's either the door has become slightly warped or the hinge is abit loose or the safety switch needs adjustment. if it's the switch i'm not sure that can be adjusted from outside the machine.

Whirlpool GH7155XHS microwave shows partial display

The display is defective and requires replacement. Unfortunately, the display is probably incorporated as a unit with the control panel and must be purchased as an entire service part. This will cost $80-$120 depending on the oven make & model. It will cost more if you have a repairer install the part.

It may be more cost effective to replace the oven. Microwave ovens are rather inexpensive these days.

Yes we can.

Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help or see our Web site.

Before you power it back up after the repair, you should double-check the wiring of the switches against the "mini-manual".

It's located behind the grille or below the circuit board.

If you don't find yours, you can download it here.

Buttons #3 & 8 on control panel not working

Sounds like your keypad has failed and you need the fan circuit repaired on the control panel.

We regularly repair these control units for customers nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a week with a one-year guarantee.

Add to that about $75 for the keypad.

You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.

If yours won't rotate or it sounds like it's grinding, etc., you may have a bad motor or plastic coupler.

To replace either, you need to unplug power, then remove the bottom cover of the oven. You may have to cut the cover off with snips, then use a screw when reassembling it.

You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

There should also be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting & testing.

Microwave dead

First, there is an outlet. Plug in something else. Inside the key panel, there are fuses and a thermo sensor. Either may be bad. The thermosensor is about the diameter of a dime, black and 3/8 inch thick...attached to the wall of the chamber. All should have continuity.
