Adding spacers to the hinge pivot is about all you can do. Check to see if the door closing cam is in good shape it could be too worn or broken this will cause the door to drop. Sometimes loosening the upper door hinge and moving the door sideways can raisie the door some.
I understand that your Frigidaire refrigerator has frozen condensation in the freezer area. Typically this will happen if the door is left open, left open for too long, or if the door is not sealing properly. I suggest making sure that the door is closed, as well as not leaving it opened for extended periods of time. When the hot humid air hits the freezer it will cause frost. Also, you might want to check the seal around the door, and make sure it is not damaged in any way. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. If further troubleshooting is needed, please leave your model number in the comment section. Hope this is helpful.
Check the freezer door seal is not leaky. Look for signs of moisture condensation along the door. Apply a thin film of Vaseline along door frame. This will make door seal stick better.
Also check there is no ice building up in freezer. This is a self defrosting fridge and built up of ice inside means warmer temperature. Lower the use of ice cubes from the ice maker to reduce load on compressor as this can effect freezer temperature.
Check freezer is not full of too many items causing reduction of air flow and hence reducing cooling effectiveness.
Most times that is a defrost drain blockage behind the rear wall of your freezer back panel. Sometimes the door seals allow some moisture to accumulate if air is drawn in through the seals leaking or the door to the dispenser is stuck open. But when you say it has accumulated in a pool of ice on the bottom of the freezer then the drain is blocked. I'm going to send you to some links and I want you to read through most of what is said and just use the parts the refer to your refrigerators problem, Sea Breeze
When I observed this issue, I found the freezer not running the defrost cycle enough times, (maybe this was in the spirit of conserving energy Energy Star compliant???))
If the Defrost is working, use the diagnostic test, that may be all you need to do until the next build up of frost on the coils.
these fridge have a heater in that black flaper to prevent condensation. It is probably not working or not even plugged...do they removed the doors when they delivered your fridge??? remove the uper left cap of the hinge, the connection is there...... the tech must check that piece if it is well plugged..
Do you mean the display won't go below 70 or that the actual temps won't go below 70? First try to unplug the refer for 20-30 seconds then plug it back in. Hopefully that will reset the levels to factory settings (usually around 0 for freezer and 36 for refer).
