Question about Garden
You may just need to remove the nut that holds the float bowl, and inspect the nut itself, half way up the nut should be a little tiny hole in the side.
use a bread tie stripped of the plastic covering and unclog this little hole, then replace the nut , when that hole becomes plugged the main jet cannot get fuel for the venturi pipe, thus the mower will start and hit a couple times then die immediately, that may fix the problem

I have the same mower, a 2004 murray 20112x92a and just tore down the carb only to find out the hardware store didn't have the diaphram part. The mower ran fine for 10 minutes until I turned it off. I went to start it 5 minutes later and it does the same thing again -- start and then dies.
I think its the carb bowl, does anyone have a video on how to tear it down? its not a simple as removing one bolt on this model, also its the briggs and stratton motor

Sounds like either water in carb bowl or plugged high speed jet - if you dont know what a carb is its not something you better do yourself send to nearest repair shop -
