Question about Motorola Mobility W385 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

Won't Ring Style is set to LOUD. Loud detail has ring volume 7. Incoming calls will NOT ring. When I change the setting to vibrate, it will vibrate. When I set it to "vibe then ring" it vibes and then silence. When I scroll through the different ring tones, they don't make any sounds, but the vibe ones vibe.

Ah! I have the same problem. My phone worked this morning when it was set for my alarm, I turned it off during the day and when I went to go change the ringer it did not work. My sounds do not work, my key pad volume works, just hte ringer and any recordings that I have on my phone.

I've had this Motorola W385 cell phone for just over a year and it also stopped ringing a week ago. It vibrates, but doesn't make ANY sounds for incoming sounds. I will survive, but it is a bit annoying.
I'm past the one year warranty and don't have insurance through Verizon.
    Any work arounds or suggestions?

Check the settings in your phone book. this happened to my phone and all of the personal ring tones were set to vibrate. I don't know how this happened. I went into each contact and changed the ring tone to none and I am back in business

My phones ring style is set to loud detail and volume is at the highest being 7,when I recieve a call it is silent?

Hi There,

As per my understanding you have set your ring style profile to loud and highest volume 7 but still ur phone phone rings on silent when someone calls..

Please change the Profile setting once again as mentioned below:

How to change call alerts and styles?

1.From the general menu, select "Settings" > "Ring Styles" > "Style Detail"
2.If you select one of the styles, ie. "Loud" you can then highlight by scrolling down on the wheel & select "loud detail" & press on the "change" button (top right corner key).
3.Here you will be prompted to change any feature available to the "loud" style: volume, ringtone, alerts, voice mail, text messaging sounds, reminders beeps etc etc. All you need to do is to select the feature you need to change with the directional wheel and press the "change" button for each.

If you think my solution helped u to resolve ur issue please do vote for me..

Thanks
Enjoy!!!

How do I increase my ring tone volume on my Moto Razor .?

You can set the length of your incoming ring to in the Call forwarding portion of the phone. Usually, it is set to 25 seconds. It can go as high as 30 seconds. To set the ringer to be longer or shorter, it goes by 5,10,15,... set of 5 increments. up to 30.
I would also recommend to use a factory set ringtone, set the profile to LOUD or OUTDOORS. With vibrate option on. Some downloaded ringtones don't play as loud.

My Motorola Razr won't ring or vibrate when receiving an incoming call except when plugged in to the charger

Turn off the ringer id function in settings, ring styles, load detail, ringer id's off.

Hope this helps

Motorola w377

Like most of the W377, this one's very odd. The only way I know how to do this is to switch off all Key tones. Key volume is part of the Ring Style menu, so:

>Settings
>Ring Style
>Ring Detail
>Change
> On the Detail menu use the 4 way selector arrows to cursor down to Key Volume
>Change
>0
>Ok
>Back out

NB The Ring Style settings for ALL ring parameters (Ring Volume, Line 1, Text Msgs, Voicemail, Alarm, and Key Volume) change whenever you select a different Ring Style, so you can set up one ringtone in Loud Ring but get a different one for Soft Ring, a different one for Vibrate and Ring, a different one for Vibrate then Ring, etc.

For the sake of sanity (and to avoid the alarm waking me up with a loud blast of Bach when I wanted a quiet 'Ding') I have set the same ringtones etc in all of the above profiles.

BTW whenever you can't find a menu you need, try pressing the black round button (OPEN MENU) in the middle of the 4 way selector arrows - it opens submenus that can't be accessed any other way.

Hope this helps.

MOTO PEBL MESSAGE AND RING TONE

i think this is what you're going for...Go to SETTINGS, then RING STYLES. Whatever ring style (ie, vibrate, silent, vibe & ring, vibe then ring, loud, soft), underneath is the detail for it, which you can then change (bottom right of screen).

So right now my phone is:
"Style: Vibe & Ring" and underneath that is "Vibe & Ring Detail"
Under the details, you can change your ring tone by scrolling down to the "Calls" option and choose change (bottom right of screen). And to change your message tone, just go to "Messages" and then change (bottom right of screen).

Hope that helps!
