Replace belt whirlpool dryer WED7500VW

remove the front panel on the dryer, get the old belt and take it and the model number into your local shop to get the proper belt, put the new belt around the drum with the groves towards the drum, replace the front panel. on the lower part section of the dryer on the back there will be a panel you remove it see the motor, reach in and place the belt around the pulley on the motor then carefully force the tension idler down towards the floor till you can place the lower section of the belt into the pulley on the tension idler and release the idler. you can now run the dryer, as the drum turns the belt will place itself. hope this helps.

What is the belt diagram from the deck to the motor for a mower?

1st, Unplug the Dryer from the Power Supply.
You will need the Exact recommended Replacement "Idler Pulley".
With the Belt Ribs Facing Toward the Dryer Drum, position the belt on the tell tale Ring Mark on the Drum letting the Belt Hang Down below the Drum.
Place The New Idler Pulley into the Slots on the Inside Dryer Bottom located near the Motor Mounted Pulley.
(Face The Idler Pulley Toward The Motor Mounted Pulley)
(Hold the Idler Pulley in place in the slots)
Take the "Hanging Belt" & run the Whole Loop "UNDER" the Idler Pulley & then
Attach the "Belt Loop" "AROUND" The Motor Mounted Pulley.
That should do it.
Put the rest of the Dryer Back Together...Done!
Good Luck,
Vinnie

Replace seal around tumbler

unplug the dryer, pull out from the wall 6 inches, remove the screws at the lint filter, use putty knife to pop the clips at the seam between the top and front(one on left front and one on right front and an inch or two in) , remove the 1/4 inch hex head screw one on left , one on right, tip front forward, unplug the door switch, remember where the wires went, lift the front panel off. Remove belt by reaching under drum and grasp the idler pulley and pull it to the right and slip the belt off the motor pulley, use belt to lift the drum and pull out from cabinet. Remove old felt. do not get adhesive on you it is hell to get off. Use disposable gloves if possible. put glue around the tub, install the new felt, the fold face toward the back so that you can see the stitching. Allow 15 minutes for the adhesive to set up. Reinstall the drum, make sure the ridge of the drum is seated to the rollers in the back, put belt on the line where it has been riding and run hands around the belt making sure it is not twisted and the ribs are facing the drum. install the idler pulley in to the slot in front of the motor, pull belt through the idler pulley, pulley idler pulley to the right and re install the belt to the motor pulley. Re install the front of the dryer by inserting the clips on the inside of front in to the square holes on the cabinet front edge, re install wires for the door switch, the ones you remember where they went, put the screws back in to hold front panel, snap the top back down, put the screws back in at the lint filter area, Done! Wait about an hour before you run it to allow the adhesive to fully cure. These instructions are for most Whirlpool, kenmores made by whirlpool, roper, and kirkwood dryers. If this is not what you have contact me. Good luck.

Install dyer belt MAYTAG

Hello there
Here is a detailed instruction for you ok
  1. Remove the two screws that hold the control console to the dryer; they are located on each end of the console. Turn the control console forward onto its face. Disconnect the wiring harness from the dryer to the console. Press in on the locking tab and pull the connectors apart. Set the control panel out of your work area. To remove the top, insert a putty knife between the front and top panels. Locate the retaining clip and push in on it to release the corner of the top panel. Lift up on the corner and release the opposite retaining clip. Set the top panel out of the way. Two screws that attach the front panel to the sides are located at the top corners. Disconnect the wiring harness from the door switch and lift the front panel away from the dryer.
  2. Replace the Belt
  3. Locate the idler pulley by reaching behind the drum and motor assembly. Using your hand, push the idler pulley to the left to release tension on the belt2.gif. Notice the routing of the belt around the motor and idler arm for reference when attaching the new belt. Remove the belt from the motor pulley. Lift up on the drum slightly and remove the belt from the drum.

Maytag neptune dryer makes a loud squeaking noise

This noise will normally come from a defective idler pulley. Access to the idler pulley varies by model, if your dryer has a lower front panel (kick plate) start there. It should lift up and off or it may be held in place with a few screws or snaps; it may also have a catch at the edges or center gap between the kick panel and main panel. To release the catch, push a putty knife, wrapped with masking tape, into the gap and push back the catch. The next easiest access point is the rear panel. The rear access panel is held in place with several screws along the outer edges. The last resort method of access is the removal of the entire front panel. The front panel supports the front of the drum and so removal is more difficult. Front panel removal varies. In general, access is gained by lifting the top (remove the lint trap screws first), removing the screws that secure the front panel, and detaching the panel from the drum.
When reaching into the dryer be careful of sharp edges on the cabinet and interior supports. Reach in to the belt and give it tug. It should be taught and have only a little give. The belt should go under the idler pulley and over the motor pulley. Lift the idler pulley toward the motor to relieve tension on the belt and remove it from the motor pulley.
Turn the idler pulley wheel, it should turn smoothly, quietly and without any wobble. Inspect it for cracks or uneven wear. If the idler pulley does not maintain proper tension or is damaged it should be replaced. Depending upon your model, the entire assembly or just the wheel or bearing may be replaced. Check the bearings as well for excessive clearance also(roller bearings)

A few things to check. Have you pulled drum, something could be caught between drum and body of dryer in the felt seal area. Or bearings in rollers could be worn. Also check belt tensioner way be worn. Thats all there is to a dryer has to be one of these.

Unplug the dryer...
  • Remove the lint trap and the 2 screws holding the vent to the top panel (be careful not to drop them down the vent!).
  • Reach around the back and pull the top panel toward you. Insert a putty knife from the front on each side to release the top panel clips. Lift and flip the top panel back.
  • From the inside, remove the 2 screws holding the front panel to the cabinet. Lift the front panel straight up off the front panel clips (hooks) and swing it aside.
  • You should now have access to the belt. This diagram shows you how to loop the belt through the idler pulley.

To replace the belt...
  • Place the belt (grooves inward) around the drum. The idler pulley fits into the slots on the bottom of the cabinet (in front of the motor) with the wheel or glide facing the left side. Pull the belt through the middle of the idler pulley from the left side and loop it around the motor pulley.
To reassemble, follow steps in reverse.
Let me know if you need more assistance.

Push the entire loop just beneath the idler pulley through the metal channel and apply pressure to the idler pulley assembly. pushing it towards the motor pulley until you can get the loop you are holding over the motor pulley and Waa Laa you've installed your new belt. Good Luck!
