Not working Machine says "SUPPLY REC. PAPER". I checked the paper tray, and it seems to be ok. Alarm light keeps on blinking. And it would not copy. Could it be the paper pickup roller?

Pull out the tray with paper.
You should find a moving plastic "tongue" near the middle of width in the area where your paper tray should go. It's a contact based flag for the device to consider how much paper is in the tray. Check if it's not broken or stuck in odd position. Move it back and forth several times, with no force, it goes very easily. When you lift the flag up, see message and blinking led stop appearing. Try to pull paper tray back in, add paper if error appears again. Enjoy!

Supply rec paper tray - what does this mean when the tray is loaded?

OK, I was having a similar problem: Tray full of paper and tray adjusted properly.

Whatever I tried, the printer kept saying load paper.

I went to print menu>properties button (windows XP this is next to the printer name)>paper source tab.

It tuned out that the paper source had been changed from cassette to multi-purpose tray.

Change it back to cassette and you should be golden.

Machine won't print, copy or receive a fax

With red button stop the copy, or switch off and on.

If you print on this unit make sure that you did choose a right format of paper (A4,A5,...)

You can change the format ap printer properties or preferences

Supply Rec. Paper tray will not clear even with a whole ****

Ok try this - switch the machine off at the mains, empty the paper tray. Push the paper tray back in and switch on the machine with no paper in it. When it's finished warming up it should tell you the tray is empty. Then put paper in. This will usually clear it.

Msg:supply rec paper

Ya, I had that same problem too; I was printing something that was over printing margins, and then i had the message "supply rec. paper......" on the lcd screen. I ended up fixing the problem by clearing/canceling all the documents i was printing on my computer, and clearing/canceling all the documents saved inside the MEMORY OF THE PRINTER (note the green light with the "memory, in use" which means it's probably still trying to print the document that's too big, so it wont print anything else). (<--- not sure if that was your problem, but it was mine)

Anyways, to clear the memory inside the printer, i pressed the "status monitor" button located to the left of the "B&W start" button, and then i scrolled over to "print status, select job to cancel" and canceled all jobs, and then once i canceled all jobs, the alarm disappeared, and it was fixed XD

Won't feed the paper

the problem with your machine maybe that the default paper size programmed into your machine. My guess is that it is set to legal size{ 81/2x14} Get your owners manual out and see how to program the paper size in the user settings sections.
