Check Cables. Check Scanner Lock. Cycle Power.

I have an HP9000 MFP and a couple days ago I started getting the following error message every time I turn the printer on.
"Check Cables. Check Scanner Lock. Cycle Power." I have tried switching cables and using a different HDD, but I am still unable to get the error to go away. I am still able to print, but copying and scanning to not work. Any help you can give would be much appreciated

"cycle error" - scanner powers up ok but will not scan due to this error ID=055

Error 55: "Lamp I2C error reading from DAC". Operator log message: "Cycle power, if problem persists, call service.". This error is involves communication errors between the LED AY and the DAC. A couple things can be done to alleviate this issue but unfortunately, as a user, you can only perform the first step. The other steps require a Kodak Field Engineer to complete. First step, upgrade your Firmware. Firmware updates can be found at the following web page: If you still experience issues following the firmware upgrade, call Kodak Service & Support to schedule a field engineer to be dispatched to your site.

Tengo un problema con la impresora hp modelo m4345 mfp, la cual ya estaba funcionando pero de repente envio un error el cual es el siguiente 49.4c02 - error para continuar apague y encienda , ya lo...

49.XXXXX ERROR To continue turn off then on

A critical firmware error has occurred.
This type of error can be caused by invalid
print commands, corrupt data, or invalid
In some instances, electrical noise in the
cable can corrupt data during transmission
to the MFP. Other causes include poorquality
parallel cables, poor connections, or
specific software programs.
Sometimes, the formatter itself is at fault,
which is usually indicated by a 79 ERROR

Follow this:

1 Turn the MFP off, and then turn the MFP on.
2 Upgrade the firmware.
3 Try printing a job from a different software program. If the job prints, go back to the first program and try printing a different file. If the message appears only with a certain software program or print job, contact the software vendor for assistance.
4 If the message persists when using different software programs and attempting specific print jobs, disconnect all of the cables that connect the MFP to the network or a computer.
5 Turn the MFP off.
6 Remove all DIMMs and flash-memory cards. Do not remove the firmware memory card that is in slot 1.
7 Remove all of the EIO devices.
8 Turn the MFP on.
9 If the error message disappears, reinstall each DIMM, flash-memory card, and EIO device individually, making sure to turn the MFP power off and then on again as you install each device.
10 Replace the component that caused the error message.
11 If the error persists, replace the formatter.

900.80 rip error

Step 1: Turn off the printer for 30 seconds or longer to clear its memory
Do not power the printer off and on too quickly. Doing so can cause a power issue and
create this type of issue.

Step 2: While the MFP is off, clear any pending print jobs from the computer or the network queue.
This will prevent any corrupted print jobs from being re-sent to the MFP when it is powered
back on.

Step 3: Did the error message return?

Yes: If the 900.80 error returns when the printer is powered up or when you try to print again,
continue with Step 4 or go to Contacting Lexmark.
No: If the 900.80 error does not appear on the printer screen, use the printer operator panel to
print a menu settings page. If the error does not return, continue using the printer.

Step 4: Power the MFP off and disconnect all communication cables (i.e., the parallel, Ethernet,
and USB cables). The only cable that should be connected to the printer at this time is the
power cord. There might be a problem with either the printer, a communication cable, or the
print job itself. If possible, connect the printer's power cord directly into a grounded wall

Step 5: Power on the MFP again.
Did the error message return?

Yes: A service call may be required. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support or a

local authorized service center in your area for additional assistance.

Replace scanner control card (SCC) first, if no fix replace FB CCD Asm

Parts number

No: If the 900.80 error does not appear on the printer screen, use the printer operator panel

to print a menu settings page. If the error does not return, continue using the printer.

Error message 2-178-0. What does this mean.Changed drivers but no change in message?

Try this:

Open the CanoScan Toolbox.
Click the Save option.
Put a check in the box that states "Display the Scanner Driver".
Click Scan.
Click the Advanced Mode tab.
Make sure Select Source is set to "Platen".
Click the Preview button at the top left.
If the error still occurs, then most likely it will be a service issue.

One thing to check...see if the inside lamp illuminates when you turn the scanner on using the power button at the back left side of the scanner.
