If you have persistent download issues, you might need to configure your firewall, Internet security package or web acceleration software to allow iTunes traffic.

Install latest version of iTunes. It fixed my problem. Check out http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=166348 for my problem. Bigbazza

i had that when you get a email from them with your reciet click on report a problem and tell them it wont download then a couple of weeks later try again it will work..thats what happened to me anyway
