Check there is a switch to "On" the bluetooth device..and if its 'On' then goto device manager by typing devmgmt.msc at run and hit the enter key and check if bluetooth is listed over there........

Your hard drive may be faulty, this is why the Windows operating system not found. Go into the BIOS and see if the hard drive is detected, if not reseat the hard drive and boot up again. If the Windows operating system not found then most likely the hard drive is faulty and to get the Notebook working again, replace the hard drive, install Windows on the new hard drive plus the Compaq Presario 1692 device drivers and your programs.

download the bluetooth driver from the compaq website - double click the folder and run the program from the desktop and then go to device manager and choose update driver

You have not mentioned what exact problem you are facing. Either it is not detecting other devices or its not working.
Let me try to give you a general solution.
If you have a motherboard CD try uninstalling the driver of the bluetooth and reinstall it. Then it will work
