My Sanyo plc su20n comes on but shutts off after a couple of minutes. Does not give a temp warning just ready indicator goes of and picture goes off. IF you wait a couple of minutes the ready light will come back on and if you push the on button the fan will start and the picture will begin coming back up and last for a few minutes again then repeat.

Check the physical nature of the lamp in the projector. around the filament of the lamp, you might notice dark corrosion building around it. this what normally cause premature shut off.

How do i eliminate the vertical green lines on the projected area?

Sadly the LCD/DLP wafer is failing, and the problem will progressively get worse. The DLP wafers can be replaced but it may cost as much as replacing the entire projector with an updated one. SORRY!

We are having one sanyo plc xu 78 projector.when it began to switch it on the count down screen will displays when the count down timing is coming to 0 then its directly going to stand by mode. its not...

The countdown shows while the unit is going through its internal circuit testing. Usually if a problem is found, there will be indications with the standby lights and lamp/temp lights. Are there any other indications here or just the unit going into standby?

Sounds like a simple problem to fix but don't ask here unless you plan on signing up...take your projector to a "real" professional who'll actually speak to you.
