PayPal Troubleshooting I get this message: "I'm sorry, there was a problem with your transaction. Transaction Result: Direct Payment has been disabled on this account. Transaction has not been processed." Why do I get this message?

When you first setup your bank account, you would have entered your bank account details. I am not sure if this is same process as they do with credit cards, but they deposit a very small amount money to your account and then withdaw that same amount. Then you are asked to confirm this amount in order to activate your account. This then proves that you are the account holder.

Your primary account with Paypal is always a credit card and the seconday account can be another credit card or a bank account.

State your problem in the email and include the transaction number.

You have nothing to worry, it is just a program/database error. The transaction number is a proof that the payment has been entered and it's just that it is not showing on your history as you try to view it.
Check also if it affected your balance and include it in the email.

I want to cancel a payment made for an on-line purchase which doesn't work


You can do that by logging on to your paypal account.

Go to the transaction that you made with the purchase that you are not happy about.

Then on the lower part of that transaction you will see this:

"You can report a transaction problem in the Resolution Center within 45 days of this payment. Have a problem with this transaction? Click here to resolve"

Click the "Click here to resolve" link.

Choose "Item dispute" then click continue.

Then you need to choose the reasons why you are disputing.

Paypal will review it and will decide if you are eligible for a dispute.

I need to cancel the F150 truck mirror for 2005-2006. I am being billed for 2 mirrors. I only need the 2004 mirror.


Log into your PayPal account at the PayPal website. Go to history under "My Account" and click "details" for the transaction in question. Scroll to the bottom and click on "Resolution Center". From there follow the steps. This will contact the seller and you and the seller with PayPal's help will work out the problem you have.

I made a payment to the wrong company

  • Before you start please check the status of the transaction in question. If the transaction states that the payment is unclaimed or pending then you should still be able to cancel it. If it does not have a status of unclaimed or pending then you should contact the payment recipient, explain what happened and ask for a refund.
  • To cancel an unclaimed payment sign in and click the My Account tab.
  • Click the History tab in the sub categories section.
  • Click Cancel link in the Action column of the transaction in question.
  • Click the Cancel Payment option.
  • You should receive a message that says that you have successfully canceled the payment.

If you have forgotten your e-mail address to PayPal click here: Forgot e-mail address

If you have forgotten your Password to PayPal click here: Forgot password

This should help you get into your PayPal account. PayPal allows you to reverse any transactions so if any money is missing you can claim it back.

I suggest you change your password to your PayPal account as this looks like there might be suspicious activity happening on your account.

When did it happens? You must act fast. Contact rspears mail immediately do not accept the payment/transaction from paypal. And also request to sent back/cancel the transaction. Contact paypal to cancel that transaction which wrongly sent. Paypal will help you.
