Yes, you can connect the linksys router to your exitsing DG834G, you just need to connect the a cable from port 4 of the DG834G to the internet/wan port of the Linksys router , then after that turn off the power of your modem and the 2 routers for about 10 seconds then plug them back in after that you can already use now the routers.

Hope that helps...........

I would'nt recommend it, theres no need for two unless you have mote than 4 hardwired pc's and 8 wireless, especially if they are both modem/routers, you cannot use two, only one modem/router and one router

How do I get my dsi connceted to the internet

Hi,
The NetGear DG834G is an ADSL router. If you an ADSL internet connection, it should connect via PPPoE autentication.
This means that you must configure the username and password, on the router, provived by your internet service provider.
Please read the "Installing Your Router Using the Smart Wizard" section on the router's manual here ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/DG834Gv5_SM_31Mar08.pdf and follow the steps.

Have lost/can't remember the security code to wirelessly connect to my netgear DG 834G

Paul.

Can you connect to the router via ethernet?

If so assuming you havent changed the routers address connecting to 192.168.0.1 from your web browser should get you into your routers admin page.

Once you have entered the user name and password click the Wireless link from teh main menu where you will be able to see the relevent key and or change it if required.

If you need the manuals you can download from here.

Setting up a lan and internet thru MTNL triband

I suggests you to go for Linksys. It's a good product when it comes to wireless internet. Linksys router must be plugged in to the modem. On the back of the router, you can plug the vista on port number 1 then your win XP machine can go wireless at the same time.

Netgear DG834G v3 Installation

connect the yellow (or blue?) ethernet cable to your computer, this should connect to the router (router should be ON)

Now, in internet explorer type 192.168.0.1 (this should be the defualt gateway for the router on default settings.

Now you're into the router, there should be a setup wizard button in there.

See if you can set it up using that
