You won't be connecting the accounts, you will only be adding a different account to the same gmail browser. When you get on gmail from the same computer all of the accounts that have been accessed from that same computer will all link to the same page. However, they will still all be separate accounts. When logging in you will still have to provide a password for which ever account you're logging into.
Click "sign in with a different account" and you will be prompted to put in the different gmail, and password.
