Hello!
Have you tried preset picture modes off TV's "picture" menu or "picture" on remote control unit. Most modern sets have "preset" modes: normal, vivid, natural, movie, sports, user, etc. Try to toggle between those modes. may be the one of those will look right for you. Make sure: "user" mode is for custo adjustments. You must choose desired settings: "picture(contrast)", "brightness", "color", "tint", "sharpness", "color temperature". May also have: DNR(dynamic noise reduction", "black level expansion", etc. I'd try presets, first and make notice of those settings. If that is, still not right to you, you may be able to tweak "user" mode the way you like it, based on info from other modes. If that won't help, you may have an issue with your TV.
good luck,
thanks,
Alex.

My xbox 360 causes my hdtv screen to crash and display colored static. It only does this on the 'optimal display' of 1680x1050. I plugged in my laptop on the hdmi and it worked perfectly. Is t

Try manually choosing lower resolutions in your xbox display settings. My Insignia HDTV does that when switching resolutions like on Hulu in between commercials and then back to the show but only for a second or so. Also does this when going from the loading screens to the game screens for a few seconds when playing the game Split/Second

No color

I'm not familiar with your set but sounds very much like its the color wheel at fault, if the picture shows perfectly but just lacks color and your set is a DLP with color wheel I'm 99% sure I'm correct.

I am looking to buy th4e neutrogena soft color blush, plum perfect 80 and can't seem to locate it anywhere locally. where can I buy it online??

My solution would be to check Amazon or Ebay(just make sure it is still in it's original packing. And though a little om the pricey side Smashbox and Mac have the most amazing products that last Forever. If you go on either site you can get a catalog sent. Trust me it's worth it. But, Almay has a nice selection of lighter blushes that look fabulous! Can't bet drug store prices. I really hoped I helped a little... Good Luck Hun!

Won't play in color

If set it is hooked to works ok then look in the DVD player menu (this problem is listed under DVD players) for a setting that will make picture have no color (perfect black and white image).

If no, you may have a circuit problem in the unit and unless it is an expensive and newer one---replace the entire player.

Got new STK392-040 chips and picture is still distorted. Manual convergence still won't alligne all colors.

the 183 is entry into the tech menu===you need to test all the low value resistors around the convergence chips(only 6 or 8) and they will read low and a resistor with NO reading may be your problem.

Also these sets use a pico fuse going to each chip--either right with it or back at the source----know what a pico fuse looks like"

Can u uninstall emachines then reinstall so that the colors are right

1) Right-click on an empty area of your desktop screen.

2) Left-click on Properties at the bottom of the list.

3) Left-click on the Settings tab.

4) In the middle on the right side; What does it state for Color quality?
It should state - Highest (32 bit)
If not left-click on the blue down arrow to the right of this box.
(Color quality box)

Left-click on Highest (32 bit)
Now go below to the right, and click on Apply.
Then go to the bottom left, and click on OK.

Still no change?
Go to your monitor, and monitor settings. See if the colors are set right.

Still no?
If the monitor is a flat LCD screen, see if there is another KNOWN to be good monitor cable, (From another computer?), to use for a test.

If you are using an older CRT monitor, it may be at the end of it's 'Life Cycle'.
(Looks like a small TV)
