I have a Bose Cinemate Series II. I have a dvd player and a Telus Optik TV system connected to the TV. If I play the TV system I have to plug the Optic cable from the Bose into that, then if I switch to DVD I have to unplug the Optic cable and plug it into the DVD player. There has to be a better way?

The manufacturer of the Optic cable will sell you a Switch plus two cables. Might be expensive.

You can use anything electrical with a step-up transformer of sufficient wattage.

No volume cinemate gs seris ii

OK, so your Bose remote is set up for your TV. That's good. You still have to connect some kind of audio output from the TV and connect it to one of the inputs on the Bose. Then you must select the input button on the Bose remote that you connected the TV to. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

I have a Toshiba flatscren, just baught a Bose cinemate GS series 2 sound sytem, and only one speaker works, Returned it, got a new one and it does the same thing, It must be a settings issue on my TV ?? ...

The left audio channel pre-amplifier in your TV is not working. Fixing that is a job for a technician with an oscilloscope, or else you would have to replace the main board in the TV.

If you connect another device (CD or MP3 player to your Bose sound system, I expect you will hear both speakers playing the sound from the other device.

Bose cinemate remote turns dvd on and off but can't navigate menu

Some remotes will simply not operate some functions, even with the correct codes. You could search for other codes elsewhere, but the chances are that even if you get some of them working, something will still not work. Some universal remotes are better than others. But you might have to pay a lot for one. If you can find the original remote second-hand then I would get it.

How can I hook up my Bose cinemate on my Philips HD tv when no there is no Audio out and I want to use it for my dvd player, cable box, and video systems?

You don't need to send audio TO a TV. I's a TV, not a source of anything. Many of us use monitors (no TV speakers). The Bose speakers are presumably superior to the TV speakers so whatever the TV is watching (cable/sat/dvd) shuld have its own audio.

Page 11.

If your TV does not have any audio output jacks, you can connect the CineMate™ speaker

system to the audio output jacks of another source, such as a DVD player or cable/satellite

box. However, you will hear sound only from the connected source through your CineMate
speakers.

Connecting my HDTV to my Bose Cinemate

If your BOSE system only has one audio input you will have to connect everything to your tv and like the other guy said there will be an audio out on the back of your tv, connect that to your BOSE and when you switch inputs on your tv it should send that audio to your speaker setup.
