Hello,

You may want to check the version of video drivers that you have installed. You will find drivers for the onboard video here. If you need to check th version you have installed, you can find that information here.

You may also want to try temporarily disabling you power management option to see if that if whats causing the problem. You can find that info here.

Also, if neither of these option corrects the issue, you may want to try Windows Update by opening Internet Explorer and clicking Tools > Windows Update.

Another idea is to see if it will restart in safe mode by turning off the machine and then before you see the logo start pressing F8 about once every second until you see the Advance startup menu. Then choose Safe Mode with Networking (you will need to use the arrow keys and the enter key. You will see alot of drivers go down the screen but this is normal. Then choose yes from the warning dialog box. Then attempt to restart once everything loads. If that works it is something in the startup that is causing the problem. You can start msconfig by clicking start and entering msconfig in the start search box and pressing enter. Then click the start up tab and you can deselect the options one at a time there.

Hope thsi helps. Please rate this informsion.

I want to 82945g sound drive

Denna,

82945G refers to Intel 945G motherboard chipset.
The Intel 82945G is the Northbridge chip part number.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_intel_chipsets#Pentium_4.2FPentium_D.2FPentium_EE_chipsets

It's used along with the Intel 82801GB , or also known as ICH7;
Southbridge chip,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_intel_chipsets#Southbridge_9xx_and_3.2F4_Series_chipsets

You need the Audio (Sound) Driver.

Driver: Small piece of software that allows the Operating System to communicate with a device.

The device is the audio chipset; do not know what Windows operating system you are using.

What I need is the motherboard manufacturer name, and model number;
OR,
Computer manufacturer name and model number.

This is on the back of a desktop computer, usually close to the Windows product key; or up on the side of the computer tower.

Is it an Intel D945G something motherboard?
Intel D945GCCR, or D945GCR, or D945GCZ, or along those lines?

If you cannot find the info, then what is the audio (Sound) chipset on the motherboard?

Creative? Realtek? Conexant?

Also what is the number with it?
Example; Creative CT5807

Also what Operating System are you using? What version of Windows?

Post back in a Comment.

I have Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family

Mmmm,doesn't sound good. If it's dropping the driver then works intermittently,there's 3 possibilities. One go to the intel site & download the latest driver for that chipset or check the hard drive with a program like tuff test pro(commercial diagnostic tool,google it),if all checks out the board has an issue. I think you get where this is going from there.
