Question about InterAct Accessories InterAct Magnum 6 (SV-243) Joystick

Mouse and joystick don't work together in Windows 98

Have an old Interact Magnum 6 joystick (no other software or disks), trying to add it to and old machine running Windows 98. I want to run old Dos games & programs only on this machine. When I input the joy stick only part of the features work on it and the mouse pointer constantly "rolls". I can't seem to locate any drivers for the joystick unless I order Driver Detective, which I do not want to do. Do you have some suggestions?

I have a similar problem: I simply can't get my machine running windows xp to find the device. I downloaded the magnum 6 'installer' but it's not working.

You can find the driver Version:120.905 here
Just click on the "Interact Bios Download" link and download should start.
The driver is meant for win95/98 but could also work for xp.

I need calibration software for the logitec 3d pro joystick. will not maintain level flight in AP (flight sim ).

this was not originaly my post but i saved it.and it worked for me. HOW TO CALIBRATE THE LOGITECH EXTREME 3D PRO JOYSTICK
I just figured out how to calibrate this joystick. I am using Windows XP. I assume it will work with all Windows operarting systems though.

Go to Control Panel, click on "Game Controllers", or however you get to your joystick settings. Hold down the "Ctrl" (control key) and the "Shift" key together - at the same time, THEN click your mouse on the "Properties". This should take you to a different calibration screen that you would get to without holding the two keys together. IMPORTANT - Click on the "Test" tab first. If you go to the settings tab first, it likely will not work. Without doing anything else after clicking on the "Test" tab, next click on the "Settings" tab. Then click on the "Calibrate" button below. Click "next". Click the thumb button on the left side of the joystick which should bring you to another screen. Then follow the prompts......
* On the "axis calibration", move your joystick in full circles, making sure the "+" symbol moves around the far margins of the square. After a few complete circles, click the "next" button with your mouse.
* On the next screen, click the left button on the joystick again, which should bring you to the next screen. Move the throttle lever back and forth a few times. Then click "next" again.
* On the "Z rotation screen", move the joystick to the left and right (rotate it) a few times. Then click "next" and then "finish" then "ok". Thats it. It should be calibrated now. Hope this helps everyone with problems.

Joystick will not work on Vista

These are the specifications for your joystick. Apparently it only supports Windows 95/98 and you were probably lucky to have it working on XP.

Software / System Requirements
  • Software Included Drivers & Utilities
  • OS Required Microsoft Windows 95/98
  • Min Processor Type Intel Pentium
  • Min RAM Size 16.0 MB
  • Min Hard Drive Space 15.0 MB

Need lexmark 3200 series driver disk 1

Windows draw 6 is a very old program that has changed hand many time the last owners were Coral and they have not moved with it.
You could try the following if you do not have the software disk for the printer[Why is that?]
Go start/printers and faxes/ click on it ans click on 'Add printer'
The system will look for plug and plany and the ask- insert CD or select from list.
Choose select from list then find the make [Lexmark] then Model 3200
click on it and windows will load driver from its own resources.

Anoth problem is if you are System is XP or Vista and the programs is most likey a DOS based Win 95/8 then it wont run.
Try to get round this by going to
Start/Programs/Accessories/SystemTools/Compatability Wizard and try restting the machine to 98.

SCSI and IDE HDs, can they work together?

This next solution is viable in win 98, and I don?t see any reason why it shouldn?t work for you too. If you know of anything I?m missing you should consult someone else. The solution is slightly complex, so I hope I can explain it properly: 1. Create a startup disk so you can format and install windows. 2. Set the new HD as master and connect it to Primary IDE. 3. Disconnect the SCSI and remove it. 4. Restart the computer with the disk you created (with the new HD connected). 5. Go to the Bios settings in order to make sure that the computer does recognize the new HD as the primary drive in the first IDE. 6. Now, FDisk the new HD, set the partitions, restart and format it. Install the OS and make sure it is working properly. 7. Insert the SCSI and restart again. 8. At this stage the computer would reboot into the IDE and see the SCSI/ You may have to change something in the OS settings for that, but I don?t know where. Good luck.
