Emina that means something really is broken, and that you need to take your phone to a technician for him to fix it.

That will depend on two things, namely:

    1. How bad the damage is, what's broken, etc.

    2. The area you're from
Here in the philippines, it'd run up to about 300 pesos tops, which is cheap considering all the "knock-offs" we have here.

I can't see the phone for myself in person, nor do I have any ideas regarding the rates charged by the techs there. It may just need to be reattached, which would be a lot cheaper, and easier to fix.

Well in that case, it may be slightly DIS ALIGNED then.. It's rubbing against the wall where it slides into, giving you that "jamming" effect. Again, can't see it in person, so having a tech take a looksy wouldn't hurt. Heard they give free assessments..

Again, it's having difficulty with sliding up because something is "rubbing" against it, a minor obstruction, if you will. Have a tech take a look, it's probably for free anyway. He'll pinpoint the exact root prob, and weed it out.

I can't turn on the ringer on my AT&T BIS-10 Merlin phone. My line blinks green when a call is incoming and I have to pick up and press the button in order to receive the call. I need the phone to...

Depends on what system you have that phone installed o.

If Merlin Legend, on the left side of the phone there is a 3 position switch. Its in the middle position now.

Slide that down
press on of your lines
Press *347

Slide the switch to the middle position.

If that doesnt work, we need to know the system you have these phones on.

I sat on my slide up phone and than the screen cracked and now it wont do anything and its a zte slide up phone

What it sounds like has happened, is that you have damaged the internal workings of the screen and maybe the main body of the phone. This is a big problem because in slide phones, much of the electronics needed to run the phone are in the screen area. You probably need to get a new phone, but if you send it to the manufacturer, they maybe able to fix it, but at a presumably large price whether it's in warranty or not. Feel sorry for you, and hope this is enough info for you to make an informed decision.

The VM is lit on my phone all the time even though i have no messages, how can i clear this?

if the phone is an AAstra phone model 9116 (look on the underneith) then hit Options then down arrow (under the viewer) to the indicator message then hit delete and then save
if it is a 9216 or 9316 model then slide the little bar(under the view glass to the right and hit the button under the slide and down arrow to option 4 and hit the 4 button and turn of the indicator. it will work properly imediately and resume as it should..
to prevent this , after you listen to your messages hit the * button twice before you exit your voicemail system
