It's dark probably because the lcd is loose, or broken. You'll need a technician to repair it, by:

  1. having the lcd adjusted; or
  2. replacing the lcd

Let me know how it goes

I need a manual

Uniden has most of their product manuals on their support site: scat=cordedphones_mnl">http://www.uniden.com/bin/venda?ex=co_disp-view&bsref=uniden&scat=cordedphones_mnl . The manuals are in alphabetical and numeric order The direct link to the manual is http://www.uniden.com/pdf/CEZ260om.pdf .

There are a few possible reasons for the screen to be dark. I assume you have waited until the second ring before answering to allow the information to be transmitted and have Caller ID from your provider. First, replace the batteries. Next, check the contrast by pressing Menu twice. Use the Left or Right arrows to change the Contrast level (the lightest level is 1 and the darkest is 5). If you see no change in the contrast, the LCD has failed. If the phone is under warranty, contact Uniden. Otherwise, it\'s probably better to replace the phone.

I hope this helps.

I have a Shift 3 lcd touch panel phone with 12 digit calculator.I cannot find the manual for this phone.I can receive calls but cannot call out.A manual would be helpful Thanks

  • Check your phone to make sure it is set up properly. Open the back of the phone by pressing your fingertip on the small lever that opens the battery area. The battery cover will come off in your hand. Insert three "AAA" batteries into the back of the phone so you can use the night light feature. Replace the battery cover by sliding it into the battery area and clicking it into place with your fingers. Connect the phone to the telephone phone jack by connecting one end of the wire to the phone and another end to the wall jack. Connect the handset to the phone by inserting the end of one end of the curly phone wire to the handset and the other end into the side of the phone. Listen to the dial tone by pressing the speakerphone or picking up the handset to make sure your Innovage LCD touch panel phone is connected.

Review calls you missed. Use the up and down arrows on the Innovage LCD touch panel phone to view the caller ID phone numbers.

  • 3

Use the night light to view the Innovage LCD touch panel in the dark. Slide the switch on the front of the panel to turn the night light function on. Slide the switch to the off position to turn the night life off.

  • 4

Adjust the volume on your speaker by selecting the speaker loudness that you want. Press the hands free button once and press the "Delete" button. Choose a loudness from one to four.

  • 5

Press the hold button on the front of your Innovage LCD touch panel phone. This will activate the hold function when you are on a call and it will allow music to play while someone is on hold. The hold music is built in to the phone and will automatically play when you press hold.

Save a phone number as a VIP number on your Innovage LCD touch panel phone. Press set and save when an important number comes onto your caller identification. This makes it harder to delete the phone number by accident.

Can't read any information in the window

    hi,

Is your phone still works even w/o display?

there are several reasons why display disapprears.

    1) probably your phone experience accidental impact and that causes lcd flex connector to get loose and causes no display.
    2) defective or damaged flex connector.
    3) defective lcd or open line connection to lcd.

You can fix it yourself if the problem is on no. 1 (loose connector). open your phone slowly (since delicate parts inside and remember its part placements) using screws driver and locate the lcd flex connector (usually behind the LCD) that connects the lcd to the main board. remove it slowly not to damage it and look for abnormalities, if none, then put it back securely and assemble your unit. then give it a try...

for problem 2 and 3. You can order flex or lcd at ebay and change it yourself. be sure it is the right type for your unit. for dismantling your unit be sure to remember the parts, how they are installed and how to put it back. Be patient and this requires a lot of time to disassemble.

    Good Luck!

Don't forget to rate me OK! Thanks...
    Hope i helped you...

    bst rgrds,

    John

M2616 display problem dark screen not showing

If it is caused by an incorrect contrast adjustment YES you can fix it.
Press "Program", then "0", then "2", then slowly repeat the "Left Arrow Key" and the display should lighten and become visible again, once satisfied with the contrast setting, press "Program". If you lighten it to far, press the "Right Arrow Key" to darken it again. If this does not work, it is a hardware fault and not repairable by a user.

    Display contrast - too dark

You should be able to adjust LCD contrast when phone is idle, just use the up/down arrow button to adjust it (don't go off-hook). If you have background music set, the above procedure will adjust the music volume instead. You can turn Background music on and off by pressing <Feature>,2,6 when your phone is idle. Alternatively, you may press <Speaker> 6,0,2 and then use the UP/Down arrow key to adjust LCD contrast.

sounds much like it is wired for a system other than where you live {or country of origin of the product} to make it a basic phone to work would not be a great shake, to get full functionality would no-doubt it has a circuit board inside to deal with other function.....
