No picture or sound

I went to turn my tv on a couple days ago, and it has no picture or sound. was perfectly fine the night before. Wehn I push the power button it make a brief clicking noise and the power light blinks for a few seconds then my screen is just black. Was it wrong or what could have caused this. And is there anything I can do to fix it?
Thank You!

The symptom you describe points to a failed main power supply, unfortunately pretty common. There may be an internal fuse you can replace but I wouldn't bother doing that more than once.
The clicking you hear is a relay that repeatedly connects, then disconnects the AC to prevent fire or further damage.

If it just fails to turn on, the main power supply is probably at fault and without some technical background and a couple of test instruments, you will not be able to do the repair yourself.
What you can do though is; unplug the set, let it stand overnight or at least several hours, remove the back panel and look for a separate board with mostly larger components on it; it will have a ferrite core transformer on it and several larger capacitors which are cylindrical and mounted vertically to the board.

Before touching anything inside, especially on that board, allow several hours to be safe since the larger capacitors can hold a painful voltage charge for some hours.

If you see signs of overheating such as discoloration of the board material, it may not be repairable but if you can find a part number on the board, you might be able to buy the power supply and install it yourself.
If there are no signs of heat damage to the board, there may be companies offering to repair it as a subassembly instead of repairing the whole set which could be much more expensive.
If you choose to replace or have it done, the power supply still may not be at fault since most are capable of switching on and off if a downstream problem is causing an overload.

That is an issue with many plasma/LCD TV's - because TV's are made so slim this days, the source cannot handle extra voltage if sometimes is pushed through the cable from your TV operator. Than some of the condensers from the mother board can get fried easily and that is it - no image.

Solution, service check, in the future, signal stabilizations on your cable and a power plug with earth connection.

Sound but no picture

you've lost your backlight, the inverter board are part of the panel, so hopefully u just los a couple caps on your power supply. You should check your powersupply for lifted caps.

Samsung clicking on and off but not coming on

The bang you heard was probably a capacitor. Since you are still hearing the TV attempt to power on, your power supply and it's fuse are likely fine, but if the capacitor was on the mainboard, the TV would require service unfortunatley.

Power button is green - no blinks / no picture / no sound

Unplug it from the wall, wait 2 minutes and plug it back in. if problem still exists, its probably the main pcb.
