You may try Mac Cloning if you have Cable Internet connection. If you have DSL Internet connection, then set the router to PPPoE or change its LAN IP or local IP address to a different one;, to avoid IP address conflict with the DSL modem.

Anyone can use my internet how do i set up security code i have netgear wireless 150 wnr1000 router how do i fix this everyone using my enternet

You need to configure your router with wireless encryption.

Connect a LAN cable from the Netgear to the LAN port on your computer, open a browser and enter the Netgear configuration URL -
The default login = admin
The default PW = password You can now change the default admin password and configure the wireless settings.
Go to the wireless configuration and set up the SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption to protect your wireless network and Internet from unauthorized access.
Now apply these settings to the wireless card in your laptop/computer.
To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

I have a WPNT834 and even if I open the related port on it, my xbox is always on NAT strict, what can I do to solve this problem ?

First of all delete the port numbers you forwarded and upgrade the firmware on the router.Follow the link below where you will find the information on how to upgrade the firmware:-

After upgrading the firmware open the ports for the x-box with the ip address of same as that you have on the x-box and then try for the connection test.

Netgear WPNT834 wireless not working

Hi Ashdan

channel 6 is very common with 2.4ghz wireless phones. Try changing the channel to a different one ie. 2 to -5 is rarely used so i suggest one of those. Also WEP is very insecure and easily hacked. If the only risk is people stealing your internet then i suggest you use MAC filter as the most secure way and turn off wep. This will make your router and internet surfing experience even faster.

good luck

first and foremost if you are upgrading the firmware from a wireless connection then you stand a great chance of bricking your router. always use a wired connection to flash firmware into a router. sendly, you should reset the router to default settings before and after you flash it. this will clear the nvram and help prevent any problems with the old firmware. hope this helps.
